Elizabeth, do you have headphones that you plug in? Maybe that would help.
pete granger
01:29:34
Carrie, are local realtors monitoring these studies with idea that low lying areas such as Eliza I. and Sandy Point may be inundated at any time.
Elizabeth Kilanowski
01:29:47
You had a point in Bellingham Bay for tsunmi desposits. Where is that?
Sara Brooke Benjamin
01:30:15
Can we get links to the DNR animations?
Tom Weller
01:30:58
I have a property interest right on the water in Birch Bay. In your presentation it appears much of the work presented stops south of Birch Bay. Does NOAA have more info?
Jennie & Steve Tuckerman
01:31:23
In Alaska, there were landslide induced tsunamis that I believe were greater than 300 m. Would you be more concerned about a landslide induced tsunami for the Salish Sea or a Cascade induced tsunami?
Dirk
01:31:26
Are you sharing this data with Whatcom Co. Unified Command so they can prepare/develop response plans for petroleum industries at Cherry point; ie oil & chemical spills?
Dirk
01:32:10
is your data being used to develop earthquake codes for building in WC?

If you have a boat in the harbor how long will you have to get it out of the harbor and where would you go?
alan Chapman

Has anyone developed risk analysis associated with the probability of Tsunamis? If the Magnitude 9 Cascadia Quake, is the Tsunami the greatest concern
Carrie Garrison-Laney
01:41:32
Hi Alan, usually in a subduction zone earthquake the tsunami is the deadliest aspect. Probabilistic tsunami hazard maps will be coming soon. Right now the USGS is working on a new set of Cascadia models that will allow probabilistic assessments.

Hi. My question is about exit for the community of about 100 families off Deer Trail in Birch Bay. The only exit is for the entire community to drive towards the beach before they can get to the exit on Shintaffer. A poor plan, and unnecessary. An exit for the entire community could be easily provided by extending off Phesant, about 800 feet along the back of the community to join up with Shintaffer.

How are the sirens powered? Is there a risk that they will not work if an earthquake results in power outages?
Amanda Siok
01:59:10
Question: How is Whatcom County using these maps to guide development- specifically, the anticipated development on the bham waterfront?
Margarette Grant
02:00:29
I live near Dakota Creek. Will I be able to hear the sirens from Semiahmoo.
