I have a question regarding BCAP -
Hi can you see my question
What are the programs for non profits? Student workers?
I would like to talk about Security for closed businesses
yes some info on bcap
in regards to what comes next in recovery and rebuilding how can we support you to make sure any initiatives are inline with the low-carbon and renewable energy transition?
At a time when technology is now more important than ever, wondering if tech an innovation are part of the recovery discussion at the cabinet table?Pre-revenue and high growth companies are not eligible for federal wages subsidies - hoping either the Province or CBT will help support the tech sector in rural areas so we can turn the corner in the right direction
wirh bcap doesn’t apply to most small businesses anyway
I second Tauna’s problem, my business account is through a Credit Union.
Building on Cam Whitehead above re technology, working from home requires strong Internet connection. This isn’t available outside the downtown core in our region (or at least Rossland). Support for this is essential to running. Any talk of working on this?
echo Montana to uphold progressive environment value.
My question is regarding the CERB program. Is there going to be any allowance for businesses who receive some income during the month? It is my understanding that if a business receives any income then they are not eligible for 14 days from that day. So if for example a business makes $100 does that make them ineligible to receive any of the benefit? Is there any discussion about making this a pro rated amount?
Seconding Cam & Michelle - running an online shop/social media marketing, classes; interenet connectivity is an issue when outside the downtown core
I am the opposite where spring/summer is busiest for me so I am struggling with loans knowing I have zero work coming up until May 2021
Successful businesses referred to those that were still functioning or able to pivot but need to stay competitive.
Please email me as well (Cam@kast.com) if you need help navigating new programs or are wondering how to stay viable using technology. My team is here to help.
Ms Conroy - Can you provide a contact for the newly former Economic Recovery Task Force so we can present some of our local initiatives?
I don’t believe anyone can apply just yet?
Here is a link from TDTimes about the 75% wage subsidy. It might not be as terrific as you think....basically you sill pay your employee(s) you get the subsidy part as a "credit" when you submit your payroll remittance...it may take a while to get that all back. And it still may change. https://www.trailtimes.ca/editorials-opinion/covid-19-business-support-wage-subsidy/?fbclid=IwAR3s7LpDTspi4xlGvPa98dFuzZQSYOQWiueSP3gftGRMoNS_wGSbrKJe4NY
Yes, interested and can the City look at helping with this cost?
