b. Re transparent communication - I agree that a key challenge is that people will interpret a message (even the same 'agreed' message coming from several leaders) differently. I've been trying to do a 'reverse brief' approach on my 1-2-1 calls with my team after any group meeting eg: "how did that last meeting land with you? What did you hear/take out of that last conversation with the Exec? Any concerns?" If we don't ask they often won't tell!
