old school flex!
good question - I'll make sure to ask Kevin during the Q&A
another question: zcash is a smaller community than Ethereum, how might that impact quadratic funding?
It seems like the delivery and public good layer needs to be separated somehow. Quadratic funding for a universal good such as a park relies on a decoupling of the selection of park ranger from the funding that funds the park.
Nathan and DC spearheaded the way
Ethereum's community is huge and vibrant. Zcash's is vibrant but I'd love to see it grow larger and more diverse. How can Zcash grow our community?
What can we learn from 1 iteration? How do we know if it went well or not?
With the Zcash Foundation Grants platform, we currently see a number of projects which don't receive funding from individuals, perhaps due to the expectation that the Foundation will end up funding that project in full, thus reducing the impact of one's contribution or making it superfluous. In addition to the pyschological aspects you mentioned (sliding scale example), how else do you tackle the situation where a certain few are regularly expected to do the heavy lifting, discouraging individual contributions? (Pardon if I missed this.)
Is it possible to roughly define extractive social behavior and have a system to “socially patch” the result of votes that have broken the rules? Have you implemented this type of approach and has it worked?
Can anyone be a grant recipient, even pseudonymous entities?
How do we evaluate success of the pilot iteration?
what's your twitter handle?
