Assuming school is open, what suggestions do you have for equitable distribution of educational resources. Specifically, there are some immune compromised students in my school who may need remote instruction even when school is open. However, we also have parents who are anxious and fearful. Being sensitive is not quite enough. We need a protocol.

It would be helpful for the DOE to crosswalk DHHS & CDC recommendations through a school leans related to self-quarantine and other similar topics.

A local chief medical officer called us this morning to tell us we should be closing. Even though that is not necessarilly the current guidance, I’m worried if all groups are not on the same page. Any thoughts on whether the medical professionals have a set stance?

The NHSBA sent out a recommendation for School Boards to meet and give their Supt authority to close school. Is this necessary? I would think that Supt have that authority already.

The Emergency Rule states at least 80% student participation for the day to count as a school day. How is that measured? Lots of variables to consider with regard to student participation.

Are you expecting these ‘remote learning’ days will be full 6 (or in our case 6.5) hour days? That would be nearly impossible. Private schools for example are doing like 4 hour days. Can you further clarify what you see as good formats?

School Day SAT - Paper and pencil version are scheduled for March 25th with a make up date of April 14th. So schools have the flexibility to complete the SAT on either of those days. The digital test is scheduled for a window of April 14-16. We are working with College Board and can make changes as needed. Contact melissa.white@doe.nh.gov or 603-271-3855 for questions.
