There are rumors of native american blood in my family, but I have heard that the tribes won't let Ancestery have their DNA. Is this true?

well, what about other testing companies? will they let other companies have their dna?

It's been fun to see some of the ancestry information, but it's more recent information that's been most interesting for my family. My dad connected with a third cousin who was looking for family (her dad had been exiled), and our family was excited too (my grandfather emigrated). It's been a great connection to make! We've really expanded our very tiny family.

Have you seen situations with patterns where the proprietaty DNA testing results led to previously unknown or more accurate papertrails?

myself and all four of my siblings were tested and it helped to make our ethnicity a more complete picture. The more you test the more you can find out.
