I am a primary care pediatrician with a few transgender and non-binary teens in my practice. Are there a couple things you would most like physicians like myself to know about recognizing and providing care to such persons?
As an elementary school teacher - I work to help my colleagues be aware to use gender neutral language when addressing our students as a whole "students....first graders." instead of "boys and girls" - but is there something that you wish that your teachers had done to make your journey easier or more comfortable?
my 20 year old grandson has finally let us know who he is, as a grandmother, what is the most important thing I can do to support him
Surgery is not covered and very expensive...how did u get a doc to do it???
As an Ally, I am moved to tears to listen to the story of your beautiful and loving family closeness, knowing that this is often not the case. That support must give Jeremy so much strength to deal with this world that does not make things easy (an understatement) for Trans people. Thank you so much for sharing your story. <3

The advocare Doctors were trained a couple of years ago on trans patients

There is a whole medical group in Haddonfield that is specifically geared to LGBTQ+ community
CHOP Mount Laurel has great gender affirming care. They have trained by the CHOP Gender Clinic.
I hope the recording of this program will be made available so that we can share with our family and friends who may benefit from seeing this?
But unfortunately the new medical group in Haddonfield is only for 18 and up

Has Jeremy had his surgery to remove genitalia and create a vagina?
I belong to Congregation Bet Haverim in Atlanta, GA was started by the LGBTQ members in 1980’s
