06:40
what is the process for NHDOE reporting should a school/facility have a positive COVID case- report to parent/guardian, LEA, DHHS, and who at NHDOE? No positives here- we continue to develop our plans
michelemunson
07:03
That may not allow us enough time to check with all staff members involved. After waiting this long, how about giving us another week to get organized?
Christine Gialousis
07:32
Tomorrow at 4:00pm is not enough to time make a determination, can we have more time?
Katie Foster
07:51
Is it a all or nothing? Can we continue to also use paper signatures alongside this feature?
Esther Kennedy
08:29
If we say no now can we add later?
Michelle Mason
08:51
Will it send to DCYF if they are listed as the legal guardian? Will it send to the educational surrogate, or just the legal guardian?
nancy
08:51
if our district has chosen remote ESY does the DOE want WPNs written to reflect this.
Becky Forrestall
09:52
Can you run some online trainings for case managers/staff on the online signatures?
Esther Kennedy
10:06
Then NO
elainedodge
10:15
So, eligibility consent will not be part of the electronic signature options?
Helen Rist
10:17
DO NOT turn this on for SAU 16 for Monday! There is not enough time to review this whole thing with LEAs and building directors.
Becky Forrestall
10:24
I would like a week to review with staff at least
Mandie Hibbard
10:33
we wont' have enough time to connect with all parents by Monday
Pamela Stimpson
10:33
We need trainings for staff and parents prior to going online
Sarah Reinhardt
10:33
DO NOT turn this on for SAU 50 either
callison
10:34
SAU 54, Rochester would prefer to wait a week
Mary Steady
10:36
People can already see it…I have received emails about it
Katie Foster
10:42
I would like to have the information first before turning it on
cplourde
10:48
Need more time to review with staff. Tomorrow is Friday. We should wait a week.
Becky Forrestall
10:49
I would prefer to wait until after Memorial Day to go live then.,
Jeanette Souther
11:16
need time to train first
Karen Guercia
11:31
We don't have enough time to notify and train all case managers. Parents would like to get an email from us first.
Mary Steady
11:36
Thanks!
jgutterman@sau17.net
11:56
SAU 17 needs more time
SAU 60
11:56
Wait another week - we need time to train
Marcia Bagley
11:57
Parents will be emailed if there is a proposed IEP, what if it's already been sent to the parent for signature?
Kathy Courtois
12:00
The signature box has been activated on the IEPs that I reviewed today.
Karen Guercia
12:13
Someone told me they just went into an IEP and were asked for electronic signature
Becky Forrestall
12:17
Are you on the School Restart and Redesign Task Force? If so, can you talk a bit about how you will collect information from the field to help guide the task force’s recommendations?
Mike H
12:20
Milford would like to wait a week, please. I will follow up with an email, too.
Sharon DeVincent
12:20
We want to wait until we can provide training. Perhap start using in Fall
Michelle Mason
12:28
Should we be changing the legal guardian to the ed. surrogate so they receive it since they have signing right?
Esther Kennedy
12:44
Just to make sure I understand. You can only sign off on the IEP?
callison
13:03
Rochester noticed signature availability yesterday.
Kristin Tevepaugh
13:04
The Electronic Signature is active, it is on the response link when you click on that.
Karen Guercia
13:27
What about LEA signature, that should happen before requesting parent signature
Caroline Arakelian
13:46
Thank you for IEP consent in NHSEIS!
Esther Kennedy
13:54
I just went in please turn my off!! Given I use another program please turn it off!
Mary Steady
14:21
Doesn’t the LEA need to sign a proposed IEP first??
macneile
14:28
Can each district make a decision? We do not use NHSEIS for our IEP writing - so I do not want to have emails going to parents for this as it will be confusing.
Rebecca Butt
14:34
SAU 18 would like to wait a week as well.
Kathy Courtois
14:42
Will this be available after the end of the state of Emergency is lifter?
Caroline Arakelian
14:54
Email for turn on or turned off?
Caroline Arakelian
15:07
Thank you
Heather Barker
15:19
What if we have PandaDocs?
Michelle Mason
15:28
Another form to include is the excusal from a the meeting, procedural safeguards receipt.
Caroline Arakelian
15:38
When will you share the guidance docs and videos?
Becky Forrestall
15:48
I know there was a lot of requests to turn this on, however, with all the decisions made for end of year for Many districts next week or within two weeks, it is just a lot to manage and train for just two weeks.
Heather Barker
15:54
I joined late can you quickly recap
Mary Steady
16:02
Shouldn’t we be waiting for LEA signature to be active first so that we can follow the law?
Becky Forrestall
16:03
I think it could be helpful for being part of remote learning moving forward in the fall, as needed.
Esther Kennedy
16:04
Panda Docs is working well for us. Will we be able to use this after the Pandemic is over?
michelemunson
16:48
This will be confusing to parents and they need to be informed as to what the difference will be and why.
Jeanette Souther
16:54
we need time to train, message to parents
Allison Plante
16:57
Sau 57 would like it live on Monday.
Michelle Mason
16:59
My deepest apologies. Did you want us to change the legal guardian to the ed. surrogate in NHSEIS?
Caroline Arakelian
17:09
The way I see it, we just need to make sure contact info is complete. Also that case managers are not creating proposed IEPs before meetings.
cplourde
17:10
We need time to communicate with staff and families. Just sending this out without having time to review with staff is not appropriate. While this may be easy for some, it will not be for others.
Michelle Mason
17:14
SAU 58 will like it live on Monday.
Helen Rist
17:25
We have over 700 students to check… that will take some time:)
kim disalvo
17:33
SAU 48 is fine for Monday
Becky Forrestall
17:34
I do know it seems easy, but staff do need training. I realize it might sound crazy, but staff have so much going on, that this is a lot for many people to manage. Automatic sending is dangerous when you manage many many case managers.
Becky Forrestall
17:39
There needs to be consistency.
Heather Barker
17:54
I think this great that you did this for us.
aline donabedian
18:02
we need time to load the information, if we load it after it goes lives will it then recognize that and send when it recognizes that an email has been added?
Michelle Mason
18:05
Thank you.
Sarah Reinhardt
18:05
NHSEIS doesn't have all the forms we need, which creates chaos. Plus, there are concerns about no LEA signature and a system automatically sending out forms for signature without us hitting send
Marcia Bagley
18:07
Proposed IEPs are what we tell staff to bring to meetings, so each time one is created an email will be sent to the parent, right?
Caroline Arakelian
18:17
Can you explain the purpose of the ad hoc access email (sorry if I missed it)?
Caroline Arakelian
18:42
Only drafts should be brought to meetings or we can be accused of predetermining decisions before the team process.
Heather Barker
18:57
the one clunky part of PandaDocs is IEP pages from NHEIES so this is great
Esther Kennedy
18:58
Would it be better if we do want it that we send and email?
Stacey Eaton
19:13
Will the system send an e-mail to more than one parent if they are both guardians?
Caroline Arakelian
19:18
Great, thank you!
Esther Kennedy
20:03
I would of been very frustrated if I was not on Zoom and a IEP went out to a parent.
Faith Wilson
24:08
Re: IEP signature in NHSEIS, Becky and Zoom participants, would adding detail to the NHSEIS messages help?
Mary Steady
25:11
I have a question about the Ethics (Code of Conduct) for remote learning. It states, ”Individual communication with any particular student should be limited. Rather, educators should strive to interact with their students in a group setting." Could the Department weigh-in on special education services and supports, 504 services and supports and tutoring. Thanks, Mary
cplourde
26:19
Is there a way to take away the automation for the E-signature? It would be better if we push it out when we are ready to send it.
Jennifer Dolloff
26:48
What percentage of the special education aid will districts receive?
Janet Reed
27:24
Do you want private providers to weigh in on this?
Becky Forrestall
27:43
I agree about not “auto sending” that is the part that makes me most nervous.
Esther Kennedy
27:49
Could you please send these pages on CAT AID to us via email. Many of us have others that work on CAT AID and I would like to share.
Caroline Arakelian
28:23
Is the Bureau involved in the Governor's/Commissioner's summer school/ESY guidance expected to be released mid-May?
Jennifer Dolloff
28:31
Thank you
Esther Kennedy
28:42
Thank you
Becky Forrestall
28:43
Can you talk more about what the exceptions may be? Would it include transportation costs we have been asked to pay, but student is obviously not present?
Pamela Stimpson
29:06
Sped Aid? If a student is receiving remote instruction from an OOD placement, but is not on campus due to COVID 19, will residential costs be considered for Sped Aid. We need to continue paying for residential to hold the student’s bed
nancy
29:16
if your district chooses to do remote ESY do we need to write a WPN
Becky Forrestall
29:32
Agree with Pam
Mary Steady
29:55
You have a lot of questions and you may have missed mine…I have a question about the Ethics (Code of Conduct) for remote learning. It states, ”Individual communication with any particular student should be limited. Rather, educators should strive to interact with their students in a group setting." Could the Department weigh-in on special education services and supports, 504 services and supports and tutoring. Thanks, Mary
kim disalvo
30:01
For transportation I am paying 75% of the cost that is not being provided. Is that what I submit for SpEd Aid?
Carol Kosnitsky
30:11
Are you saying Sp. Ed. is fully funded this year? It had been funded at a lower prp-rated level for past several years.
Esther Kennedy
30:40
We were told the state will be telling us about ESY by May 15. Will this happen?
Carol Kosnitsky
30:42
Sp. Ed. Aid - pro-rated sorry for typos
Kathy Courtois
30:43
When will the determination for ESY be made? The date given in a previous meeting was 5/14/2020.
Mary Steady
30:47
Another one…sorry so many today…Shouldn’t we be waiting for LEA signature to be active first in NHSEIS before allowing the parent to sign so that we can follow the law?
KDuesing
30:50
Please let the Governor and Commissioner know that if students are to be allowed back in schools, we need guidance on what health practices to be implemented as well, for example use of PPE and guidance on transportation.
Pamela Stimpson
31:18
Thank you!
Jennifer Dolloff
32:08
The formula indicates that only 80 percent of the aid, it is pro-rated again.
Mary Steady
32:24
Thanks…my staff asked today and don’t want to sign…I appreciate you asking.
Mary Pantazis
32:26
Lea Signature is supposed to be before parent, is that correct? How does LEA sign in NHSEIS?
Esther Kennedy
32:33
To add to Ken's Question, help with payment
Karen Guercia
32:44
If we ask to turn off our signature for Monday, can we request it turned to be on by the end of next week?
Faith Wilson
33:05
To Ken’s point - yes, districts definitely need specific guidance before asking staff/students to work in the buildings. Thank you Becky for offering your input into the Governor’s and Commissioner’s recommendations along with funding for any extra equipment
Jennifer Dolloff
34:05
The data regarding special education is no longer readily available, is it listed somewhere new on the website?
Kathy Courtois
34:36
Did I her you correctly - all parents will need to be notified through a WPN indicating how the ESY services will be delivered?
Mary Steady
35:22
Thanks for answering…I get it now :)
Esther Kennedy
35:36
How about both!!!!!!
Pamela Stimpson
36:01
I think the concerns about the LEA signature is about how to inform the parent that the LEA has signed
Esther Kennedy
36:06
I was asking for PPE.
Shelly Fagen
36:14
Can get PPE and pick up at DMV (enough for two weeks at a time)Here is the application…https://prd.blogs.nh.gov/dos/hsem/?page_id=8451
Mary Pantazis
36:38
LEA Signature in NHSEIS should be a trigger to send out the proposed. Is that possible?
cplourde
37:09
I was just approved for PPE!
cplourde
37:54
I pick mine up on Monday. It's on the NH Economy site.
KDuesing
38:03
We ordered masks with no problem using that sight.
pmacdonald
38:54
I think it would be great if there was something that said LEA signed!
Heather Barker
38:56
Do we have actual guidance for in person services for students since that continues to an option under DOE in remote learning. This continues to be a very confusing mixed message for parents.
Michelle Mason
38:58
Yes please add that (LEA has approved hence the reason it is being sent).
Faith Wilson
39:35
Could Dr. Chan’s guidance to schools be included in the Governor’s and Commissioner’s recommendations?
Heather Barker
39:57
thank you
Faith Wilson
40:33
Thank you Becky - I know folks trust Dr. Chan :-)
