In the Bay Area, anyone under 18 can get free breakfast and lunch.
Where can I
Where can I find out more about what behavior services is?
Your service coordinator at the Regional center can assist with respite
also for some riverside county schools lunch is for 1-18yrs... but SPED students age out until 22yrs... so this leaves 18-22 out... from meal availability :-(
So I can go to my services coordinator to find out about behavior services? Would that be considered respite?
moto g(7) power
where can I find or who should I ask about respite service options ?
@ Ana, I will look into that
ask your service coordinator
i really would like access for therapy for my almost 15 year old. i used to have safety risk at san Diego regional but Inland regional doesn't understand what I am saying.
i reside in orange county, where can you get some of the behavior services?
Home Instead can help with Respite care thru Inland Regional for 18 years u
What about behavior services?
like a therapist. i have never need them to come to home because they talk to my daughter over the phone. so it would be perfect now
for authorized service codes for telehealth for IRC please visit inlandrc.org Please contact your service coordinator and leave a message on their voicemail or email, email is best for written records.
Thanks for the info!
@trejoboys - CalOptima (Medi-Cal) funds behavioral services in Orange County to age 21. After age 21, ask your regional center service coordinator
@ Everyone, please ask your questions as we also have staff at SCDD answering questions from throughout the state
@Ana Andrade-double check with your school district on lunch for the adult student. We live in Monterey County and my daughter is in the adult transition program and I received a call today from her teacher that she could get lunch at any of the middle or high schools (our district is just middle school-adult school)
Are Tele-health services accessed through our local Regional Center?
are there respite options in northern california, specifically in the bay area where regional center encourages families to get their own person as respite provider?
@ Chandana Many teachers and other classroom staff are looking for work
does tele Heath help with physical therapy my son goes to epu in Fresno for his physical therapy
Mary, we are working on some options for distant learning that I will talk about. Since this webinar has a vast audience, we are covering all bases :)
will the Q and As also be recorded?
What does respite care look like in this time of social distancing?
@Jessica, it can. Have you gotten any feedback from EPU?
@ Chandra, yes
pillow squishes can be really helpful. have child lay down and use pillow and place on back, arm or leg and apply pressure. little to more. excellent for light pressure

I am very thankful and blessed you and the crew got together to create this webinar there is such good info i have 2 pages full of what I’m taking down
Yolanda Cruz thank you will do

Yes ! I love hammock wings
Some of us don't have back yards or patios. I don't have such space. My living room looks like a rehabilitation room. I have no space for a couch or anything else. But I don't have anything for a sensory diet.
Thanks for the info!

can I have access to the power points I cant write to take notes
Does anyone have suggestions for sleep issues for an adult with cerebral palsy?
www.Special-fit.com is offering free fitness classes mornings at 10am for individuals with disabilities
For sleep issues nothing worked for my son, no medication, melatonin, bed routine etc. The only thing that worked was a changer of diet. No gluten, no sugar, no casein, nothing canned, no preservatives and organic as much as possible
Maggie, I do not have info but have you talked to your doctor?
@Christian, I hadn’t thought about dietary changes. Where can I go to get an idea of that types of recipes based on the restrictions that you’re suggesting?
I submitted an intake application via the Inland Regional Center website on Feb. 24 and haven't heard back. what is the processing time?
Anyone know of online Group Music Therapy ?
@christian I recommend SANHO Dynamic Movement Sensory Body Sock
moto g(7) power
what about schools, ?
@Charmaine V - Regional Centers have 120 days to determine eligibility, unless there is a risk to health or safety in which they can determine within 60 days.
Try the G.A.P.S diet. They have a lot of information on line, they also have a book: GAPS diet the Gut and Psychology Syndrome they will give you a lot of ideas, recipes, etc. If you can follow the diet it is even better.
Hi Paint nite have online paint sessions online for adults and kids, you can purchase the kit from amazon if you don't have it
for those interested in sensory and movement, check out Metric Music Therapy and Neurologic Music Therapist, Peggy Schafer, based out of Santa Fe Springs.
sounds like the empire have better services from their regional center< Orange County doesn’t offer any, if they do i haven’t been contacted.
moto g(7) power
is music therapy a service founded by regional centers?
i went to a workshop and it had the district, regional center as well a office of rehabilitation. can you do webinars for these workshops?

i cant reach anyone by phone at Inland Regional center we got self determination months ago and are all ready to get started we need to know how we can access the funds for the person centered plan?
Is “shelter in place” the same as “stay at home?”
moto g(7) power
hola Yolanda Cruz, disculpa Centro Regional puede proveer el servicio de music therapy?
Hola, Bajo auto-dterminacion ai una posibilidad de poder hacer eso
will the slides be sent out or located where we can access them?
Under self-determination there are ways to be able to get non-traditional services
moto g(7) power
y para Las personas que fueron seleccionados para self determination pero no asistieron a la orientation ya no pueden participar?
My understanding is that shelter in place means stay where you are at tht point in time. Stay home is stay at your residence
moto g(7) power
for PCP plans there is already a service code, reach out to your self-determination advisory committee
So that means not going in to work?
good question James I’m wondering if stay at home also means not going to work!
for those who cant reach people, call, leave messages and email.
Most people in the Bay Area are not traveling to work
I work at Sprouts grocery store and i'm supposed to work tomorrow so ...
If you need details in regard to tela health options at Inland regional center please visit https://www.inlandrc.org/2020/03/19/service-updates-from-our-executive-director/
the city of la website shows the specifics to the order and what is open and who still works
only essential stores will be open, thus if you work in grocery store, pharmacy gas stations then you need to go to work
Grocery stores are considered essential so they will remain open, reduced hours will be common or limiting shoppers at a time
what is IDD
Laundromats, banks, plumbers are still good
Individuals with developmental disabiliitiew
