We collect BOL's from Customers and paper logs from drivers. Should we consider suspending that practice for the time being.
We have identified the pen at the sign in station as a source of contamination and removing all pens. Drivers will need their own for their own protection.
It appears that most on this call are at their DC office. Are you considering working from home yourselves? I went to work in my office all last week, until one colleague told me I am setting a bad example for the managers and CSRs we told to work from home, and he politely encouraged me to stay home this week.
I feel like if I am asking people to work in the warehouse, I am setting a bad example by staying home. Tough choices....
The legislation concerning the employer continue paying the employee and we the employer then get tax credits. Sounds Good but Cash Flow is another issue, as if the clients shut down and we shut down, the payrolls continue yet the income does not. How many weeks payroll do you think we need to protect?

In California, we have been informed that if an employee gets COVID-19 from someone at work that it's a workers compensation claim. Is this true or has anyone else heard this?
Part of our planning and worst case scenario. We have looked at all of our clients and have prioritized which customers are 'critical/essential' (Food/Pharma) and which are less critical (ie we have a fishing lure account) also transportation the same thing. We have planned to prioritized shuttle services and delivery services for these prioritized clients.
Re: workers comp. It is my understanding that is only a covered WC claim if it is work-related i.e. if a nurse contracts the virus while caring for a patient
We have been notified that it is a OSHA recordable requirement. I am checking where this info came from.

It sounds like the connection between work teams and outside truck drivers is the most challenging. Does anyone have a comforting solution or is this an item for all of our follow up?

We are sending out a daily update to customers, and letting those who call that they will need to look for tomorrow's update. We cannot take one-off calls, as all communication needs to be from a single voice after the senior team approves the response.
