ATI Workshop - Shared screen with speaker view
We just need a few minutes on our end to make sure everything is ready and then we will get started.
The Zoom link in the course - is it for office hours or class lectures, or for both?
You stated that we could only have one link on our Blackboard. Where would we put the Office Hours link?
I want to show my class a DVD, an actual disc DVD. I normally play this using the DVD player in the podium. Can I play the DVD in my computer media player and share that screen so the class can watch the movie?
Yesterday, I recorded a class session but I haven’t yet received an email with a link to the recording. What did I forget to do?
Jonathan, thank you so much for such a helpful workshop! I have another question: When I click on virtual background it says my computer does not support it. May I still activate it? Could you please elaborate on the virtual backgrounds more?
Thank you so much!
Yesterday, one of my students had accessed the class Zoom meeting using her friend
Friend’s computer and so her friend’s name showed up. I asked who is this person and was about to eject her from meeting. Then, she revealed her true name.
I had my student present their group projects yesterday. I wrote my own instructions for them, as I didn’t want them to be confused by learning more than they needed to know for yesterday.
No question. Just want to share with others: I’d also found out after the fact that one student wasn’t able to use the one laptop shared in her family and asked to join by phone. So please have that as an option for students. (She thought she’d have the laptop, but her brother had to take an online exam and either hadn’t told her or the exam was rescheduled at the same time as my class)
No question - just want to share: If you plan to have a required synchronous meeting, be sure to record it so that students who can’t make the class meeting due to tech issues can watch that recorded class meeting at a later time.
Thank you for all your hard work - and for your fantastic workshops, Jonathan!
thanks for your help, Jonathan!
Thank you so much!
