The are a wealth of resources on telehealth for SLP on a number of websites. Speech Pathology Australia has webinars available. Also the CRE Aphasia at La Trobe has collated a range of resources in a number of languages. https://www.latrobe.edu.au/research/centres/health/aphasia/resources click on the excel file and have a look through. Then the Stroke Foundation Inform Me website has lots of Telehealth resources for stroke rehab.

Rather than relying on third party programs for video chat, many of which are not secure, MyHealth1st is offering an end-to-end encrypted in-browser telehealth service that requires no additional programs or apps to be downloaded and run.- Fully Encrypted (end to end)- Integrated with your PMS- Easy to Use (both patient and practitioner)- Add up to 2 additional attendees to the consultation. I.e. Translater, Career, Family Member.- Capabilities to share screens, drawn, send/receive documents, add another camera.Would be more than happy to disguss this offline. Feel free to email me at brittany@1stgrp.com

We use telehealth RESeCare in Residential aged care facilities for geriatricians, residents and families really appreciate this service. Just odd patients (particularly with advance dementia) that at the beginning find it confusing but experience gets better with frequency of the telehealth consults.

Working in outpatient neuro rehab physio. We have started routinely asking all patients to have a second person handy to provide standby assistance, or potentially just camera help (e.g., assessing ankle range of motion is a pain with the patient holding the camera).Unfortunately in the current climate our (often CALD + low-SES) patient population is even more socially isolated than usual, so many don't have that help available.

Aaron, how do psychologists assess risk, deal with suicidal ideation in telehealth consults?
Merril Darlow
01:09:20
I am thinking that the use of telehealth may reduce the power imbalance that exists between clinicians and clients, creating a more collaborative therapeutic environment. The clients are in their own comfortable environment, may have more confidence to ask questions, to open up more readily, and they and can switch off easily. Any thoughts?

I found a couple of telehealth remote monitoring devices but most are either needs to be purchased by patients or subscriptions. Some are not cheap. I haven't personally use them but visited their websites thought it was worth sharing. https://currenthealth.com/remote-patient-monitoring-reimbursementhttps://evisit.com/private-practice-clinics/https://www.ehomecare.com.au/engagehttps://www.philips.com.au/healthcare/product/HC453564553051/ecarecompanion-patient-app-your-patients-gateway-to-carehttps://www.vitlsinc.com/https://www.neteera.com/https://www.cu-bx.com/

Hi Jane, prior to the COVID, telehealth particularly for geriatrician was a barrier, they can't be reimbursed through MBS due to the requirement that they either need to be in rural or remote or admitted in the RAC. From knowledge, metro south health in QLD have set up telehealth service for older people in community
Annette Zucco

Hi, I’ve been doing 100% Telehealth paediatric OT for nearly a year (and in person 9 years prior to that), and telehealth consultancy. I noticed that therapists double their confidence using telehealth if they see telehealth in action, so I’ve put a few quick Telehealth OT video simulations together with the help of my kids, if anyone wants to check them out. I expect that I will add more with time. youtube.com/channel/UCyhMMc_PXapQZxYpCp7NACg
