when can we get the ESY document?
Catherine Woods
12:48
We have already decided to provide ESY remotely.
Georgia Caron
13:39
We have too.
Michelle Mason
13:49
What would the school's options be if a parent refused to wear a face mask dropping off, or allowing their child to wear a face mask?
Kathy Courtois
14:06
We have decided on Distance Learning also
Christine Gialousis
14:17
Will this document be sent out today? Thank you!
Caroline Arakelian
14:36
Is there guidance regarding transportation? Although we have already decided to be completely remote for ESY, wondering for potentially in fall.
Pam MacDonald
14:45
We've decided to provide ESY remotely as well.
Kathy Courtois
15:14
When do we anticipate that this document will be finalized?
Michelle Mason
15:41
We are doing remote as well, just curious what the school's options are if parent/child refuse to follow or adhere to PPE guidance. Many identified children will struggle with wearing PPE.
Catherine Woods
15:45
I have 49 elementary students eligible for ESY. The governor still says no groups of more than 10 students. If we were feeling safe enough to provide ESY in a face-to-face manner, we would have to hire a great deal more staff which would cost well above the additional funding that has been provided to the district, and the budget in effect as of July 1 is a default budget so there is no extra funding available then.
Mary Steady
16:16
MSD has nearly 400 students eligible for ESY…
Catherine Woods
16:24
How would we be able to afford to provide 5 teachers and enough paraprofessional support. These are tsome of the reasons we have decided to go remote.
Peter Naitove
18:00
I don't understand children not required to use face masks - not to protect them, but to protect US. Kids can transmit, even if they are not as vulnerable. How do we maintain social distance with young children. I feel like I am missing something. This seems to assume that the risk infection has greatly decreased, but we are still under state requirements for social distancing and many public places require masks for all, why not schools?
elainedodge
18:35
Can we please have this document today even though it is in draft form? It is clearly marked as draft.
Jane
19:12
Are these guidelines for general and special education students? Has there been an opportunity for superintendent voice to also look at draft and provide feedback?
cplourde
20:11
I agree with Elaine. We need this even in draft form. We have two weeks to review this and make decisions before our school year end. We were promised guidelines by May 15 and would very much appreciate this today.
Kathy Courtois
22:18
Is it still an option to continue with Distance Learning or are we now obligated to provide small group instructions to students in the school environment for ESY? Do individual school districts have the option to continue with distance learning?
rmatte
22:22
How many disitrct have already made the decions to have remote ESY? This would a good poll question.
Pam MacDonald
22:35
I figured there were many there not willing to wear masks. In our district, the concern was for the child who would not be able to keep the mask on and that's one of the reasons why we decided to provide ESY remotely. Another concern for us was transportation.
Catherine Woods
22:36
Yes, Rick, I agree.
Janet Reed
23:15
How do the transportation guidance translate to the small vans/busses used to transport to out of district?
cplourde
24:52
Thank you to the Directors who are providing feedback!
Sherry Burbank
24:54
yes, please send this out in draft form today
KDuesing
25:10
Who would administer the screening of students before they get on the bus?
Pamela Stimpson
25:34
Is there guidance re: screening students prior to embarking to school #13? school or parent support
Caroline Arakelian
26:29
When will you share this document? Sorry if I missed it.
Pamela Stimpson
27:28
Since the document is not being released, you can review Stay at Home 2.0 child care re-opening guidance that has been released. It is quite similar
elainedodge
28:03
Thank you Pam!
jgutterman
28:18
Sanborn is remote for ESY
Marcia Bagley
28:33
We have 300 + students who are eligible for ESY. There is no way we can put these precautions into place between now and the start of ESY, nor the funds for this
Mary Steady
28:54
So what happens if we don’t do small groups but this documented is released and a family files a complaint? How would we not be in noncompliance?
Jane
29:42
Who will be providing training to private transportation companies relative to these guidelines?
Michael McSheehan
29:47
Here is the direct link to Stay at Home 2.0 Child Care Guidelines. As Pam said, very similar. https://www.covidguidance.nh.gov/sites/g/files/ehbemt381/files/inline-documents/2020-05/guidance-child-care.pdf

30:04
Thank you Michael!
Caroline Arakelian
30:20
If you choose not share the draft version, when would the document be finalized and then shared?
Jennifer Pomykato
30:24
Are school nurses recommended to be part of the summer program staffing to monitor protocols, students and staff?
Martha Miller
30:44
Remote learning IS the school setting right now. In so many situations, people accept that things aren't like they were prior to March. (dentist & doctor visits, wedding plans, funeral procedures, DMV tests) Why are schools under intense pressure to provide what was available before, when it just isn't safe to do so?
Mary Steady
32:17
So you are saying that we can do remote learning and if a parent files a complaint the DOE would say we aren’t in noncompliance with implementing the IEP based off of face-to-face services not being provided?
Jennifer Pomykato
32:54
Reviewing the CDC guidance just released this week, employee training is referenced to meet safeguards. Will DHHS provide these training modules?
Colleen Sliva
33:18
how do we explain to parents and others if we choose to do small cohorts which doesn’t include all students who we picked and how we picked them? I’m worried about this
Pamela Stimpson
33:31
Can you repeat who is working on this guidance?
Michael McSheehan
33:34
Good question Mary. It will be helpful to have a well crafted response and communication strategy for that.
Mary Steady
34:00
Thanks for checking. It is just confusing when you say, “if you choose to provide in person services.” It sounds like it is an option.
Jane
34:33
Will we be able to have a meeting with Tricia Tilley and Dr. Chan to review the final document?
rmatte
34:40
When will the MOE, excess cost and parentally placed forms for the FY21 IDEA Grant be posted on the website?
michelemunson
34:52
Case by case basis may not equate to equity…
Catherine Woods
34:57
And the allocations released.
Meg Bentley
35:21
Please scroll to the evaluation section again.
Lois Stevens
35:47
I am sorry I joined let, are you sharing this document with us

36:29
That would be wonderful, thank you!
Karen Guercia
36:33
Heard from staff who were in the Case Manager NHSEIS webinar this morning that there were glitches with the Electronic signature roll out so the roll out is on hold? Can you address this?
kim disalvo
36:34
Just wondering if there has been any feedback on how the Parent Portal is going from those districts who started using it?
KDuesing
36:38
The purpose of sharing the draft would be to help districts plan, not to distribute to parents.
Caroline Arakelian
36:43
Is there guidance around screening staff? Their rights/ responsibilities in not coming to work etc.
Michael McSheehan
37:05
Will there be state guidance on process/procedures for determining the need for compensatory services? (For folks returning to in-person ESY, this question may come up sooner than later.)
jgutterman
37:28
Can you go back to pick up and drop off
kim disalvo
37:34
My case managers asked how parents can sign during meetings with the portal in place when we are back in school
kim disalvo
37:56
Do they need to sign using the portal?
Jennifer Pomykato
38:29
I am hearing of districts using plexiglas dividers (such as used in the grocery stores). If folks on the call know where to purchase such, perhaps the DOE can also share during the next call (for summer and fall use). Thx!
Peter Naitove
39:36
There are masks for sale at Staples. AND N95 masks.
Sherry Burbank
39:39
the masks with clear fronts are only available with huge quantity orders
Meg Bentley
39:42
Plexiglass dividers are available on Amazon and other manufactures. They can be constructed as well.
Sarah Reinhardt
40:11

Sarah Reinhardt
40:17

jgutterman
40:27
Can you explain the email that went out regarding NHSEIS and case manager information
Sherry Burbank
40:28
if anyone is ordering clear quantity masks, please let me know at SAU 24
Stacey Eaton
40:30
Will the parent portal send documents to two parents if they are both checked off as guardians (ie divorced with equal educational rights).
Sarah Reinhardt
40:48
The clear masks said they are delivering July 1
Catherine Woods
41:02
Are PPEs a part of the IEP? If not, why would districts provide PPEs to chartered schools.
Sherry Burbank
41:07
Mary Lane has.a site
Mary Steady
41:25
Some of the masks are on back order because of the demand. Sharing this information would be great
jgutterman

Marcia Bagley
45:31
Will the Governor be making an announcement re: summer programming? Or each district makes their own determination?
npierce
45:34
Any idea when the Governor will let schools now if ESY can be delivered face to face. Assume from this doc that it will happen.
Kathleen McKechnie
45:47
Would you please share pg one of the draft?
Jennifer Pomykato
46:25
I know Dr. Chan is busy, but if there is a public forum for educators (and parents) addressing these topics and safeguards, I think that would be helpful. Thx Becky

Is there a start date?
Shelly Fagen

Yes, summer in person
