Going from weekly staff positive interactions to next year where we will now have Character Strong curriculum and not just have weekly interactions but a whole systematic change of "going to the gym" and WORKING on our own character. I got approval this next year to do Character Dares or activities every staff meeting for 5 minutes. So excited!

I work with behavioral Middle Schoolers. We introduced Mindfulness in the beginning of the year. They were totally against it at first...so we just...started doing it...every day...and before we knew it...they wanted to take turns tapping the chime before and after our sessions. They really grew to enjoy and look forward to our daily mindfulness.

Creating a non-judgmental space is to provide the time without question. You need a break; if I can provide it for you I'm on my way. I'm here if you want to process and the same confidence that I provide my students I provide for my staff. If you don't want to process that's okay as well. As individuals I believe we love to feel supported.
