hi

20:05
alamelu Ganesan from matraville

25:13
As Suzanne said if you have any questions for our panelist please post them in the Q&A box at the bottom of your screens

34:04
Is there any mental health disorder that we can assess online only?

35:48
What level of remote monitoring is being done across the UK to compliment Telehealth? Particularly for patients with high chronic disease burden.

37:47
Yep, thanks done :)

38:38
Yep, thanks done :)

38:54
Sorry having trouble with the Q & A portal What are your thoughts on the Health Care Home trial in Australia? - this model in Primary Care with bundled payments is on trial and some of our practices are more confident in this space. Team Based care is really moving forward in this trial with a patient centred educated approach and having trust and confidence in your team

39:40
What percentage of telehealth consults in Australia do you believe are happening with standard telephone calls, vs video conferencing options?

40:44
Hi, I've run a 100% online Telehealth paediatric occupational therapy service in Australia since July 2019

42:09
Leanne - do you use interpreters in our consultations?

43:17
not with my paediatric clients but I have used interpreters with adults for phone consults. They work fine but just take a bit longer

44:14
I just used a three way conference call

44:40
Thanks Leanne, so 100% telehealth is phone, not with video?

45:22
Hi , What about Ethical aspects for implementing Telehealth?

45:36
my 100% Telehealth work with kids is via videoconference and in my other job my consults with adults were by phone

46:35
Leanne, can you please share some of your successful experiences?

48:22
Some people with past history of trauma and adolescents do better with telehealth. Its less intimidating for them and they can be better focused

48:37
yes I find Telehealth as successful as in person OT - handwriting intervention, social emotional skill development, mental health intervention. Quick results using evidence based models

49:48
Thanks Leanne, are you Vic?

50:05
Qld but service Australia wide

50:36
Leeanne are you hospital based?

50:44
Consent is a big concern of our nurses and GP's in this

51:32
I'm not hospital based - I used a clinic based style model but in people's homes, school, community

53:17
have you had any success with non- verbal clients ?

53:47
Leeanne - are you using TIS interpreters?

55:45
non verbal clients can still be serviced. We can screen share Proloquo2go, we can use chat, drawing on screen, photos, parent coaching etc.

55:47
David do you use other other Allied Health in your telehealth consults - social workers, mental health nurses Practice Nurses, care coordinators for e.g like a case conference team based care approach?

56:06
yes I have used TIS interpreters

01:04:01
there's aps that are excellent for tracking patients moods and them recording their medication use etc

01:06:15
there are also goniometer apps for phones etc

01:09:45
NDIS covers non direct therapy in Australia

01:12:32
What strategies do you use to ensure you effectively communicate with patients with hearing problem? (e.g. many lip read so lighting is important, moving head,…)

01:13:12
AUSLAN interpreters are happy to join teleconferences

01:22:01
patients are scared of missing the appointment ie the phone call

01:22:12
we have had the same thing with doctors running late :)

01:23:54
sorry Ive maybe missed this but what is the patient feedback on this model and how is this captured?

01:27:29
Hi Amndeep, I would like to ask for the procedures or forms involve with telehealth, such as client consent and agreement, client information, assessment template, etc? We are rolling out telehealth within our CDM program in Melbourne , my email is ywseak@gmail.com , thank you.

01:27:56
Is there any clear data on reduction of hospitalization from your Chronic Disease patients because of Telehealth?

01:29:32
There is a lot of research evidence to say that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are happy with it. Allows pople to stay on Country.

01:29:45
That is correct - don’t make assumptions about Indigenous patients regarding use of internet, phone, et c

01:30:57
My 70+ singing teacher has moved to online teaching after a short Zoom lesson from me. Don’t make assumptions.

01:31:30
Have you used a particular method for assessing visual acuity for eye patients?

01:31:42
In Australia TIS provide free access to interpreters but right now TIS is only limited to phone consultation. TIS does not do video consultation

01:35:22
Is there a way for Curtin University and/or La Trobe , or another entity , host a platform so that information to clients , consent forms, information on Telehealth etc could be shared . This would be very useful . Thank you for this Webinar appreciated Regards Warwick Smith

01:40:34
technology is a big issue with practices

01:43:04
www.myhealth1st.com.au can assist a practice with referrals. It has the ability for a GP or Patient to book an appointment with a specialist in real time and upload the referral!

01:44:05
