Good morning all - sorry I'm late......
Good morning @ Sean fab to have you with us
Hi Andy, welcome that's the beauty of Twitter it's a great way to advertise learning and sharing sessions.
Hi @Erin welcome
Please use chat to ask your questions - we'll keep track of it and pass to Steve.
its always difficult to signpost as the time of crisis doesn’t have a calendar to let you know when you are unwell,
From my experiences with family I fully agree with self stigma being an issue.
Very powerful film
I think the idea of these videos is very powerful
love the portal, great work WAST / Steve
Brilliant idea, love the portal
Access via a QR code an excellent idea!
equipping line managers with MH knowledge is an excellent idea
Agree, I think it's amazing work Steve.
Giving Line Managers that MH knowledge is one of the real keys to this.
Trying to get our new Health and Well-being Project Manager online to hear this.
outstanding, great start though
The portal is a very good idea.
hse guidance are very good. provides good foundation to work from.
apologies for the late show ... daughter at the GP .. ouchy toe now sorted!
Hi Sasha welcome, aww hope your little one is ok
blame culture has been traditionally a big issue. good to see welsh service have a more postive approach.
CSD up skilling interesting......
new mdt in gp surgeries will have mental health practitioners in place at primary care level.
if we have poorly trained staff ( not having a go at the education team) it leaves us to a default option of conveyance in this cohort
lack of confidence and or competence equals poor care for staff and wrong decisions for patient
I totally agree Steve .. it takes a village
999 is such as easy option for the public to choose as we answer the phone, not a dig at any service just a comment
agree with the funding issue
Im really sorry but I have to go. This has been so interesting and given me so much to take away. I think the work that you are doing is fantastic and we, at YAS, would definately like to learn more
wearable tech is definitely an interesting way forward for integrating individual early warning systems for both physical and mental ill health
The app name is brilliant- Trua = Compassion
agree with the use of tech
Wearable tech not great for me as a Paramedic who has to be bare from elbows down but love the idea
Amazing session Steve, thank you so much
Thanks Steve, really interesting session with so much to take away.
Yes, thanks Steve, great work
Thanks guys - been a fascinating hour
Agreed, thanks Steve, really interesting session.
Consideration of upskilling exisiting staff rather than bringing in experts ..
looking forward to listening again as lots of information and would love to see the Portal in more details and cant wait to see Trua
The film - really hit home - could it go outside WAST
3 P's migt be the one this end, as overarching way to get system on board in relation to our challenges
Thanks Steve, the 3 Ps and CSD training.
Digital media as a way forwards.. thanks Steve
I think the whole session has been extremely valuable. The approach around the 3Ps, the development of staff, the ways of promotion - All great stuff.
Upskilling staff; using QR codes for ease of access to portal; making Line Mangers more MH aware - all excellent ways forward
My sister has Bi-Polar it's brilliant from a personal view point it's great to see ideas such as the Single Point of access - ED is definitely not always the right place for MH patients
we have a peer support group training in progress. no portal yet but i believe we might have something in the future so really. like that idea
have a good day xx
