If the family has private insurance , you applied for MassHealth Standard for your child with disability, child is accepted but you have gotten a premium bill for MassHealth. While you are trying to determine why MassHealth is charging a premium rather than free MassHealth Standard, or while you consider applying for Premium Asst, should you pay the bill? Would MassHealth reimburse the parent if it is determined the child is in fact eligible for MassHealth Standard?
Carolyn Campbell
