I work at a Deaf hub site within our district. Our school has provided some fire alarms with lights and we use a sign next to our door and other teachers are expected to point and communicate with Deaf staff. If we were to get lights, we would have to get them for the whole school and not just the few Deaf classrooms.
Sunny
51:39
Do you think that is the FIRST STEP? Because so far we have been told to use keep our phones on us for us to communicate that way. and that Interpreters are covering us in that way

Do you know if there are any laws beyond an audit or court case that we could refer to when asking our admin to consider these ideas or is the best thing to refer them to is how Schools for the Deaf are meeting these needs? We have been told our safety needs are being met.
Lynda
01:05:28
Will you please make sure that what was just said will be shared with us in print?
