Breeze is what we use
Libby Tigner

Lee is talking about tithe.ly There is a smart phone app for it.
Libby Tigner

Vanco. I believe that this platform is "UCC affiliated" somehow, and may have reduced fees. I'll explore that.
Rita
31:52
WE found Vanco to be more expensive than Breeze and we have been happy with Breeze. But we have just started with a new finance administrator.

32:47
We use Pushpay, and our members have the option to pay the processing fee
Libby Tigner
33:29
thanks, Lee!

34:17
Direct Pay from banks is the best way!
Rita

Quicken bill pay will change substantially by the end of August. FYI

Would it be possible for someone to create or share a sample stewardship appeal letter, that acknowledges the challenges people are facing and the challenge the congregations are facing, lists multiple options for giving, and engages folks in a meaningful way

I forgot to mention one way that we have raised funds which is a mixed-bag. As we stream our services on Facebook, there is an option to donate to a charity, and we have made our church an available charity for donations. We raised $150 on our recent post of how we are continuing to operate our food bank. The down side is that these funds do not reach our account for about 3 months. So this is not our preferred method. But perhaps we can create a more effective internal appeal using the same “story.”

FYI we use Phonevite to send pre-recorded messages to our folks without email/internet
Libby Tigner
53:57
Mary Sue, is there a way to put a caller ID on that so that folks know that it's church related and not some spam call?
Rev. Mary Sue Brookshire
54:05
yes
Rev. Mary Sue Brookshire
54:14
you set the number for caller ID
Libby Tigner
54:18
excellent. thanks.
Rev. Mary Sue Brookshire
54:39
I have the free account which gives you two calls per month. Then it's 5 cents per call.
Rev. Mary Sue Brookshire
55:20
I am using it to send prayers to our homebound folks
Rev. Mary Sue Brookshire
59:38
Why does it take so long for the funds donated via FB to reach you?
Kirsten Linford
01:00:17
I think that's just way FB's system works. We have been looking into using FB and found the same information.
Rev. Mary Sue Brookshire
01:00:43
but Facebook doesn't charge any fees or take a percentage?
Rev. Mary Sue Brookshire
01:01:14
Breeze offers text to pay
pastor sam
01:02:08
ON Facebook all donations are channelled through a group called “Network for Good.” You have to register your church as an eligible non-profit, which takes just a few minutes. A few months after people donate to your church, you will get a check from “Network for Good.”
Rev. Mary Sue Brookshire
01:02:44
Thanks Sam!
