i had a student who would wake up from nap time with his fingernails chewed and hands bleeding :(
I've noticed among my severely abused CASA kids that everyone gives a lot of gifts to make up for what happened, but the kids never show the excitement or gratitude that people expect; is that because they had to dull the horrible feelings so that also dulls the joyful feelings?
