In a minute you will go and fetch materials.
Susannah
36:35
Think about how you will collage.
Susannah
36:50
Envelopes, old drawings, etc
Susannah
37:10
Think about the surface. Magazines are coated in plastic so aren’t so good for drawing onto.
Susannah
38:55
Make sure you have a variety of tonal values.
Susannah
39:03
Dark, midtowns and light
Susannah
39:24
You will need a piece of paper to work on
Nicki Grove
39:42
what size paper for the main picture would be best please
Susannah
41:21
It’s up to you really I guess. The bigger the surface means you have to already have lots to collage with. So if you don’t have meany pieces to collage with you probably want a smaller piece. A bigger piece will take longer. I will ask Rachel when she finishes talking!
Susannah
42:48
Rachel recommends A3
Susannah
47:41
We will mainly be looking at structure and tone. Not so much colour. Think more about tones.
Ruth Elder
47:42
does this class go until 1.30? on the emal it says it started at 12 ??
Susannah
48:41
Hmm, thats odd. It finishes at 13:30.
Susannah
48:56
Last weeks started at 12:00

Look carefully at your view.
Susannah
49:22
Think about the distance and foreground
Kevin Warner of Colchester
49:27
can I use a cardboard box to stick stuff to instead of paper?
Susannah
49:54
Yes you can if you want!
Susannah
50:05
No preliminary drawing.
Susannah
50:38
Think about where you want the horizon. If you want lots of foreground you will need the horizon to be higher
Susannah
53:29
Think about where you want more texture. More texture in the sky will make it look quite thunderous perhaps!
Susannah
53:46
If pieces are super crinkled you can iron them!
Rachel
53:47
be careful my laptop just fell out the window!
Rachel
53:50
all ok
Rachel
53:52

Susannah

Susannah
55:39
Susannah
55:51
You need to simplify your landscape
Susannah
56:00
Think about it in block of tone.
