@Farrell- i think suspending vaccine patents will be critical to getting the massive global production. this took years to happen with HIV and was game changing.

@Katherine - you are right that data have been conflicting on convalescent plasma. at this point, looks like only effective if given VERY early ( w/in 3 days of diagnosis) and in highest risk elderly patients, as well as possible role in severe immunocompromise but data limited. So not for widespread use but may still have some niche role. Does need to be checked to be sure there is sufficiently high antibody concentration.
