Has anyone looked into how the OCR would look at Title IX in accordance to scheduling and number of comps? If the boys have 20 comp points, the girls would have to match...they don't care how far you need to travel. We have been going through Title IX compliance and that is a huge part they are looking at.

In rural areas, schools are struggling to keep their boys programs and some have eliminated them. I understand and see growth at inception but worry about long term sustainability and the creation of it pulling girls from our already small numbers in other winter sports. Thoughts?

Paul..I will try to come back and answer that for you..Good question..I will give some thoughts on that

If you have a fully active girls team at your school with a unique schedule, are girls still able to compete against boy for events/opponents that do not have girls to wrestle?

Pat, let me know if you guys need any assistance. I coached wrestling in Texas for 9 years and I'm very familiar with this topic. Girls wrestling has been a sanctioned sport down there since 1999. Feel free to reach out: mjspengler@eastpennsd.org

Along with practicing together, can the girls compete on the boys team when the opponent doesn't have a girls team, but compete against boys when necessary (sort-of a hybrid model)?
