Rebecca that is so fun! Yes!! I never thought of it like that but it's so true!
a mentor said it to me one time and I was like YAAAAAS 😂
I knew this was going to be good but it’s already far exceeded my expectations! Thank you!! Absolutely love this!
I love that Lyn...You can't be what you can't see!
you can’t be what you can’t see 🙌🏻🙌🏻 love that!
Dream Centered Planning sounds very interesting Lyn. Would love more information about that training.
I run a peer support chat and people use it CONSTANTLY
Rebecca, I'd love more information about a pss chat!
Collaboration, not Competition!
are these numbers for the public? how do you start a warmline?
yes. public numbers
I love how powerful the collaboration in the recovery community is. It's so beautiful to watch it in action.
Hi everyone, this Carole Johnson from Share Hope Raleigh
myself and an amazing woman named Amanda Marker run 2 Facebook recovery group called pain to purpose and regenerate heart warriors. The chat is connected with them. I’d be happy to invite anyone who’s interested ❤️
Im a member of both of them and they are amazing!
I have read that a hot line is required to call authorities if a person is having suicidal thoughts and that a warm line will not call authorities. is that true?
also Jennifer, partnering with an existing warmline may be a good way to go as well.
She did so good! She made them so so beautiful!
That's beautiful, Amanda!
Sunrise has an ongoing letter writing program to those detained in WNC as well. It is one of my favorite things we do.
is it possible to get a copy of the cards. my son is in the feds as are several I know and I would like to send them to them if possible
very cool justin
Hi Keith….we’re mandated by law to get someone help if they’re at “imminent” danger of hurting self or others. In peer support, we always try to spend the time with someone to help them figure out alternatives. Most of the time, it’s a crisis for the moment and spending time helps someone move away from the crisis and lets us avoid making the call.
That is so awesome!
The cards are a major part of our outreach and displays of love and concern!
Anna - the warm line is open to anyone who has the number. We’ve had calls from San Francisco
Viyanna, if you want to email me address I'll happily send him and his friends a card. email@example.com
Viy…I’ll ask Mandy afterwards about disseminating the cards.
Justin, I would love more information on the eating disorder support group!
That ED group sounds perfect for where I am in my life!!!!
Ariel….we’ll let Justin know afterwards. What’s your email?
Are the other support group times/days listed on the Sunrise website?
firstname.lastname@example.org :) thank you!
Yes….go to their website - tons of great stuff.
You can get all of the zoom meeting info on the sunrise fb page and the website!
Ariel and Amanda, maybe we can join their next one?
Would love to!
I’d love to join as well!
I'm down Mandy

has anyone personally or does anyone know someone who has utilized the free spectrum for students? I was wondering what information they ask for to be qualified
I haven't Darcy but I've also heard of school buses with WIFI going to different disenfranchised neighborhoods and staying all day so that kids have access to the internet to do school work.
Wow….that’s so cool, Amanda
www.needymed.com is a site I use and share with my clients to help them get either free meds or reduced cost meds
I was hoping that the people we support would qualify. I know they may not be not in "school" technically but they are furthering education and wellness education.
maybe we can call and do a dry run Darcy
For YEARS, we’ve argued that peer workers need to have avenues for connection with one another to brainstorm together, vent together, do better work together. Thank you Covid !!
On facebook there is a group called peerpocalypse. it is a west coast deal but I find much useful information there. I moved here from Oregon so knew about it and they have had no problem with me utilizing their information
Peerpocalypse is awesome
I don't know the answer to the 2018 question about SSI. Lyn, do you? anyone know?
They’re great Viy….I’m presenting at their conference in July. The gang out there is awesome !!
Sorry I missed the question. I’ll look for it

I’ve worked with Donita for years. I’m also a close friend with Rob Priest.

i said that the entire planet's population will be qualified to become a peer once this is over
This is my first time on your Lunch and Learn and I'm so excited. I've learned so much today. Thanks to all info. I volunteer to help Share Hope, Inc but I'm getting ready to open non-profit. Hats off to all of you with all that you are doing.
This has been a true encouragement to me. To listen and share thoughts and ideas. It helps when you feel like you are stuck in a rut
I'm a CPSS

Mandy and Zach Writing for wellness~~~
This is your platform Ced, the one you have been praying for, for many years!!!!
Honored to be your "unofficial" agent Ced!
I don’t know a lot about the stimulus, but there is a link “Find My Payment” on the IRS page. On that page, people can provide their bank info if they’re “non-filers”. I think she would qualify for that??
they do not made too much in 2019
We are also exploring the idea of a support group or page for single parents in recovery and to balance working from home and parenting
Thanks for the update and resources!!
Anthony Graves CPSS
a group to support the parents who have been given the opportunity to become homeschool teachers is a very much needed thing now
This has been awesome! Thank you everyone!
Thanks Toni. Appreciate your being here.
Lyn, You ran a CPSS support group at PRN. Where ideas, issues, and support were specifically around the CPSS experience. Would that be something of interest for the future
there is so much healing for me in writing.
That sounds like a great idea Sharon. Let me talk to Cherene about it. Definitely needed
Mandy this is amazing!

Would love to learn more in the coming weeks about what others are doing with individuals who are not comfortable with the technology or don't have access to it. Thanks
email@example.com if anyone would like some of the information that we have put together for this.
Sunrise also has an LGBTQ meeting!!
That’s a great topic Julie, and definitely the most challenging right now. We’ll look into that. I agree it’s needed badly right now.
Again Mental Health Greensboro has an LGBTQ group called Renewal.
Viy if youd like to talk about what Zach and I put together, you can email me and I would love to share! :)

Bye Jennifer. thx
Mandy if I don't get in under control and find some meaningful recovery I will probably die. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not in 10 years, but the reality is it WILL come to that.
that's the nature of the beast
I have to leave but it has been so helpful to me to be on this Zoom today! I really fee sol connected. Thank you Cherene and I look forward to talking to you soon.
