Outstanding message Lori! thanks for sharing!
Wonderful message Lori!
Lori - Looking forward to reviewing this document to provide insight. Optimistic approach!
The Heart of America is very fortunate to have Lori leading us.
Alicia, does the CARES money cover the cost of mandatory testing for your SA's?
Alicia, what are you doing with the rest of team when someone tests positive? Are you quarantining them for 14 days off campus as well?
Is anyone testing for Covid-19 antibodies either with or instead of the virus?
We do have access to CARES funding for testing costs for uninsured or underinsured students, but this hasn't been an issue for student athletes, whose testing costs have been covered 100% by health insurance.
Regarding quarantining, if we have a student test positive, we will quarantine any player or staff member that was in close contact with the infected player for more than 10 minutes for 14 days.
Would we be able to get a copy of Lafayette athletics return to action plan?
Alicia, could you please explain how Boise is moving forward with the total campus closure that has recently been enacted?
I'm curious what others think about at what point do you consider isolating and shutting a team down for a 2 week period? Or even just taking a day off/ modifying practice? What percentage of a team needs to have a temperature and/or signs/symptoms for this to be considered?
The CCAA conference has canceled all Fall competitions. Any other conferences out there done this?
@BrandiRoss - We're starting all over at step 1, retesting, reintegrating, etc.
Thank you, to all of the speakers! Great information!
Thank you Matt!!!
Thanks Matt. Good information.
Thanks Matt, I really liked your outline.
yes!! prescott here thanks to all the speakers!
we're all in this together
Who is conducting the wellness checks?
We will use the wristbands but since there is a limit number of colors we will put a date on the wristband as well
I really like this action. Thank you for sharing Justin!
Justin: are your questions electronic vs paper-format for each individual?
We ordered 7 different colors of paper wrist bands and emailed the list of colors and corresponding days to the ones of us that need to know them right now
Paper based questions. School will also be able to trace students not checking in to get them on the right process.
Yvette - what system do you use?
Thanks for hosting Danny, good to see you Lori and Justin. Appreciate everyone's insight and looking forward to reviewing documents.
Is it appropriate to require people to outwardly identify their health status using a colored wrist band?
Justin - are you doing anything different for the student-athletes with the screening process and temp checks?
Covid 19 Contact Tracing coursea
I highly recommend contact tracing training. We are going to help campus with tracing for our student-athletes and staff members for now
contact tracing: integral for ATs within athletics, also great for integrating to college community
Thank you all for the link!
Yvette - if athletes are self reporting their symptoms who is responsible for taking their temps?
another course; free, 3 hours https://learn.astho.org/products/making-contact-a-training-for-covid-19-contact-tracers?force_login=1
Kiki- here at NMHU we are using ATS (Athletic Trainer System)
cost per test?
Is this test covered by insurance?
Holli A. Hall
Matt/Kris/Yvette: anyone dive in yet as to how you are handling water at practices? (a university in our conference is going strictly to cups having a student work man the water)
I am sure I missed this, but how often do the tests need to take place? Every two weeks?
Awesome town hall discussion
I got my nuggets!!!
Thanks Danny and Relation
Well Done Danny!
Appreciate the insight everyone
