my center is open, i'm an infant teacher and 90% of the infants are home so I'm on leave for now and struggling to find a way to still have interaction while they are home
Tarita Deberry
47:24
That's exactly what I've been doing. a simple video of activity and all I want is how they accomplished it with the help of their parents. I can still observe, take notes, give tips, etc.
Janet Davis
48:15
How are you sharing videos? I wish Brightwheel had an option of a longer video
Karen Phillip
48:23
How are you paying staff while only offering remote learning? Are you still charging full tuition while being closed?
Kamilah Mauldin
48:50
Keep in mind copyright issues when doing videos including songs or books specifically. This has been a huge issue for our center.
Jacqueline Stewart
49:18
We are communicating with parents on a pretty regular basis, each classroom has created activity packets for each child in the classroom some for the entire month while others do weekly packets. We are using the ZOOM app but we have some parents that don't communicate with us as needed, so that's been a little frustrating but for the most part I would say things are going ok, as well as they could be.
Megan Zetzman
49:31
since I'm technically on leave i can't do anything on bright wheel so having to be creative
Marie Klingner
50:32
I left bags of supplies outside the classroom door for parents to pick up. Mostly of the items they will need for the acyvities the will be doing. Paper ,glue, marker, pipe cleaners, pom pom etc..

Laverne Cheeseboro
59:14
I stopped payments for now and let them know when I plan to reopen and when tuition will resume giving them the option to terminate because I will not hold spots through the summer.
Jacqueline Stewart
59:18
While I do work in a Daycare facility, I work for the EHS program within that facility. So I would say that they are charging 0% for the daycare portion, but I don't know for sure.
Mary Curry
01:00:12

We charged 100% through March. Once we decided to remain closed through April and possibly May we decided not to charge tuition. Our school has applied for applied for government funds through the Paycheck Protection Program (part of the CARES Act). Our application has been unofficially accepted and is currently being processed. With this loan we will be able to pay our teachers through April and May.
