In terms of the 3 weeks elective at the end of Period 12, will this be an assigned elective or an elective of our choice?
Kim Khoo
30:18
thank you so much for your hard work and communication! for those of us with surgery + FM left, for the 2 weeks of clinicals in may/june, will we be able to specify what service we’d like to be assigned to?
lenexamorais
30:36
For those on the peds/ family med schedule, the last six weeks is for in-person clinicals or virtual elective… if we take a virtual elective, when do we take the in-person clinical during fourth year?
alex
30:38
For those previously enrolled in period 12 neuro, will we still be able to take that? Will it be shortened to 3 weeks?
blakejohnson
30:44
If the clinical portion of the rotations cannot be finished by the end of 3rd year, are we going to get to schedule when we complete that portion during 4th year? Just curious how this may pertain to already scheduled away rotations.
Jessica Stauber
32:18
So just to clarify: given that the clerkship timeline sent today remains unchanged by the covid19 situation (i.e. the situation progresses as expected) -- we would be set to complete Y3 as scheduled without having to make up for missed clinical time during Y4?Also HUGE thank you to literally every administrative staff member for being so amazing, helpful, and approachable during this time. Seriously, we are all so thankful for all you guys have done and continue to do!
Kim Khoo
33:25
gotcha, totally understand! thank you!
Alec H
34:02
For Pediatrics rotation, as indicated by the presentation earlier, it will be 2 weeks of clinicals and 2 weeks off in a 4 week time frame. Will those 2 weeks be continuous, so that we could potentially take a 2 week elective in that 4 week period, or will it mandated 2 weeks off?
blakejohnson
37:37
Got it, thanks!
lenexamorais
40:15
Are the clerkships coded as an IP or I until in-person clinicals are completed? Or how will clinical be incorporated into the grading process for those clerkships?
Maria
41:00
For those of us that scheduled Neuro clerkship in third year will more space be made available in 4th year schedule to accommodate for those of us that will not be able to take it
Alec H
41:11
That makes sense, thank y’all!
dkompella
41:21
Just to confirm, for those of us who are Tyler-based, if we return to clinicals by June, would we return to Tyler for our clinical time?
paulbrindley
45:34
Any thoughts on what will happen with period 11 or 12 EM, or will that be similar to what is happening with Neuro?
Maria
45:38
Thank you

Sorry if this has already been asked and I just missed it. But will we get a list of possible clinical electives/AIs that we can take in the 3 weeks at the end of Period 12?
Ruth Levine

Katherine Cook
55:37
For students that delayed Step 1, is there a possibility they could begin their next course at the end of third year if we are not able to return to clinicals?

Not sure if true or not but has there been a mention of interview season being pushed back to allow for students to get AIs and aways?
Ruth Levine

I just got off a GSA meeting and they are talking about that
Ruth Levine
58:01
But no decision has been made yet
Ruth Levine

They are talking about all sorts of changes like pushing back ERAS. They are particularly concerned about early match and military match

Why are shelf exams for IM end of May - followed by a 4 week clinical rotation. Why wouldn't the IM Shelf still be June 26th after all of IM - both virtual and clinical
nikita prasad
01:03:35
That makes sense, thank you so much!
Eunice
01:05:19
@ my classmates: all of these questions and answers are being typed for distribution later
Wes Peters
01:11:08
Whether we return to clinic or not, why would we not wait until June 26th? If we can't return to IM clinic for 4 weeks, what else could be conflicting with our schedule? We can't schedule anything else during those 4 weeks of IM.
