Councils are also looking to support their communities through doing things like holding / cancelling rates payments for home owners - but this will impact on what funding is available to put into their programs / support including arts

01:14:41
We are worried that the soft infrastructure and cultural assets will start disappearing and be impossible together back. It’s the service agencies like Arts Nexus that will be critical to keeping the independent regional sector galvanised
creativealliance
01:14:54
QUESTION - is it still to only the areas currently able to access RAF
creativealliance
01:15:02
Or will the $10M be more flexible?
creativealliance
01:15:21
EG a number of larger regional areas in QLD aren’t able to currently apply to RAF

Do you think RAA’s success in winning an additional $10m for the RAF opens the door for the federal government to address the huge need for the freelance artists falling through the govt safety net or do you think its not really related? What can we learn from RAA’s success?
Suzanne Whiteman
01:22:11

Eve Stafford
01:29:34
It might be an artefact of scale and history, but while RA VIC are well connected across regional arts in VIC, the same does not apply in QLD. much of regional, rural and remote arts in QLD happens unfunded outside and unknown to either Flying Arts or the state arts dept., especially the future away you are from Brisbane .
Liz Zito
01:29:35
