Are the students showing that 4 lockdowns a year is enough for a real emergency situation?
How often are the digital 911 radios tested for functionality and speed of communication?
They work, as we see used daily for local communications. How quickly are those who have radios able to switch to a 911 monitored channel though.
Will the metal detecting technology be added to all school buildings?
Are the retired police officers at each school? Are they armed?
Friday before last there was a metal detector at school. a male student had a seitchblade on the bus going home. he but
parents are let into school to drop students off who are late. no further than the main entrance, but that's concerning if someone did indeed have a weapon. they could easily get past the one to two staff members posted there. is this normal to let parents in?
Are unguarded access points (doors) locked at all times?
the teachers regularly check to see that they are indeed locked?
How are students being instructed concerning how they should respond during critical incidents?
that's a good questions
Are there instructions/drills that address a threat when the students are arriving or leaving the schools? I mean, when the doors are open and many students are outside.
do the security guards go around and check that the locked doors are locked.. is that apart of their rounds?
What can be done to make sure weapons that dont go through the metal detector doesnt make it onto the busses?
I saw a video of a student recording during a lock down. that class was tested on what to do if a threat claims to be police. those children all made too much noise and they fell for it but their teacher stopped them. they are older and making these mistakes. that is very very concerning.
Thank you Lindsay. He has been talking about the cameras and was wondering why talking about it when they are not present.
LeMoyne has camera's on every side of the building, just not on every spot of the building, as with most schools. They're on our main entry doors, lots and the playground.
