Hello everyone, Carl Danielsson from MedCardApps here

Hi all, I am also concerned about speed of capacity building. We are making content from profs of UCL, Hopkins and more available for free and also offering free government-level capacity building academies. If you would like one, just contact me at stefan_wisbauer@post.harvard.edu. Best, Stefan

Of course Africa CDC is also welcome to ingest the content if it finds it helpful.

“Growth per country” likely to correlate a lot with testing, so would be good to add that to analysis

I would like to take the opportunity to mention that MedCardApps has decided to contribute by offering our EHR platform FrontDesk for free to health care facilities etc in Africa. Through this initiative we hope to help in providing more accurate and detailed data on the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases. MedCardApps is a Swedish e-health company with many years of experience of working in Africa. If this is of interest, contact us for more information on info@medcardapps.com or read more about our product on www.medcardapps.com

why is it that there is a lot of focus in treatment rooms(biomedical intervention) as opposed to primary healthcare where focus is on prevention which can yield higher returns?

01:15:53
Hi, I am from the AdvocacyNetworkAfrica, we are dedicated to eradicating TB. Most of our beneficiaries live in one room houses. How best can we talk about "social-distancing" when their daily living spaces are these one rooms and perhaps the roadsides where they are no longer allowed to relate. Should we talk of hand washing or both bodily/space hygiene? What effective social distancing messaging should be common and cuts across?

01:21:58
Testing has remained a major challenge in Africa. A symptomatic patients was rejected in rejected in some center, like, Ilorin in Nigeria.can we look at another category of isolation for highly suspected symptomatic patients with or without empirical treatment pending confirmation. these categories of patients were rejected causing further spread of the disease and death of some of these patients. We need to domesticate the guidelines for Africa. Thanks
