LACCD is interested in the Promise Grant. Please contact Cenk Karali at KARALIC@EMAIL.LACCD.EDU

38:00
Olivia, will do

39:04
You mentioned using "GLUE" is there any efforts to use "ETHOS"?

41:13
Bmcall Ethos - Ellucian's platform?

41:28
Yes Merrie :)

41:35
I can answer that Ethos question—this is Jane, the SuperGlue Product Manager. The SuperGlue team has been evaluating Ethos for over two years now. Initially there was a blocker to using Ethos because none of the Ethos endpoints supported using the CCCID as an alternate id. We submitted an idea to Ellucian to address this

41:58
and they have just recently updated some of their student endpoints to support CCCID

42:38
the problem now is that there is not an endpoint to the Banner common forms that house the standard app, international app and CA promise data

43:03
How about Ethos for Colleague platform?

43:18
Great, thank you Jane! Can updates on this subject be shared on the CISO listserve once more in known?

43:47
Colleague is in the same boat—we have CCCID support now, but not endpoints for our application data

44:09
At CISOA last week I attended the Ethos session

44:13
hosted by Ellucian

44:30
and they are working to allow extensions to the Ethos endpoints

44:51
this way we could fill in the enrollment endpoints with extensions for our CA-specific data

45:05
they aren’t there yet, but it sounds promising

45:34
and we are all over it because this way we could delivery directly to Banner and Colleague with endpoints to manage the business logic

45:50
and then all will be rainbows and unicorns :-)

47:11
And who can I contact to join the CISO listserv?

47:19
Because I would be happy to share updates

48:24
Jane, I'll get you signed up.

48:30
thx!

51:03
I would like to be added to the CISO listserv. How to I go about getting on that list?

52:01
Same here.

53:07
Tim, is this something we can help get people signed up for?

55:25
Greetings, are there any plans/or is it possibility for students to update the HS course and GPA section of the application and resubmit? This would eliminate manual update of placements based on completed courses/GPA change for students after they graduate from HS. Thoughts?

55:52
what does it mean when you won't "ding students for not having an address" entered?

56:30
Joann what Patty meant is that the residency logic will no longer be a barrier for a homeless student.

57:01
Hong Pham once an application is submitted it is no longer editable.

57:04
Hi Hong, at this time, I am unaware of any plans to allow students to update their HS transcript data that was previously submitted on an application.

57:44
What progress has been made to provide AB705 student placements for both credit and non-credit ESL? Is there a suggested MMPS placement matrix?

57:48
Yes, we’ve looked into how to provide an opportunity for students to update their transcript/course data and the most viable solution is a separate web form interface, hosted through MyPath, that would allow this functionality. It is not currently prioritized for development.

58:20
We also await decisions from the CCCCO and AB-705 committee regarding ESL placements. There is no planned work at this time.

01:02:05
Thank you.

01:04:27
Folks the CISO listserv is managed by the Chancellors Office. I believe if you send a message to CISO-ALL@listserv.cccco.edu with a SUBSCRIBE heading, they will add you.

01:09:08
when you switch from English to Spanish and back, it seems to not remember what you typed if you hadn't saved the page via Continue? I'm on pilot - typed first name but didnt save then hit switch language

01:09:59
Thank you Shawn. We’ll pass that on and take a look to see if that is possible.

01:16:34
Is the IP address taken into consideration with the address? Is that tied into the SPAM filter?

01:17:24
IP address is an available field in the data dictionary.

01:17:31
@Shawn Thanks for the feedback, I’ve added your requested functionality to the requirements for the OpenCCC Redesign.

01:18:30
Bmccall It is not currently used in the SPAM filter.

01:22:14
@Kasey is that on the SPAM filter road map?

01:22:51
Do any campuses have a way to proactively identify students who would benefit/should be offered the option to take ESL courses?

01:24:03
@bmccall, I do not believe so at this point, but I’ll have to check with our Product Manager on that.

01:24:34
@Hong - the MMAP research team has been working on collecting what colleges are using. I believe you can find the information on the RP Group website under MMAP.

01:24:37
@kcrosby thank you!

01:26:10
The problem I see with the Highest grade completed screen is that high school students who are in 10th grade now and applying for future term do not know what grade they are getting at the end of this year, so I usually tell them to answer this based on how they "think" they will finish. Is this the best thing to do or can we alter the questions?

01:26:59
Hi, Chandra. That’s a question for the research team, led by Mallory Newell with the RP Group.

01:27:07
Thanks!

01:27:36
will we know specifically which grade that a student has completed through the SuperGlue data so we can determine appropriate placement at the local level?

01:27:59
Will there be a data dictionary update before the release, so we know how to map the new highest grade completed question into our SIS?

01:28:04
State is adding new codes for educational status and enrollment status for AB 554. Will CCCAply planning to add these new values in the near future?

01:28:15
Mandy, the Highest Grade Completed field is part of the MMPS data dictionary that’s delivered via SuperGlue.

01:28:29
Yes, AB554 discussions with the CCCCO have begun.

01:28:36
The Highest Grade Completed field is delivered with the App via SuperGlue, as well

01:28:49
Thanks John

01:28:50
@emascaro, yes, an updated Data Dictionary will be available.

01:29:23
Thanks Kasey!

01:29:32
When the application is translated to another language, will "special" characters populate to Banner? We have questions about non-English conforming alphabet.

01:29:39
@hong On the ESL question. There is a checkbox for ESL on the Needs and Interests Page. The question is "Check the programs and services in which you are interested."
