Thank you

For sharing that in advance

33:10
But that does not apply to private providers, we were told?
Becky Forrestall
34:45
Could Directors please get a list of the third party providers who are able/available to do services that you are referencing?
Helen Rist
34:55
Are current grant funds that expire in Sept. being extended?
mikeohara
34:58
Well the grant apply to Private Providers?

What is expected with accountability reports such as College and Career Readiness indicators?
Chris Beeso
36:50
Will the additional IDEA funds be divided among districts and show up in our grants?
chrislocal
37:12
When will the grant amounts be shared with Districts and the model activity wording?
Caroline Arakelian

What was impacted by repurposing the state-level IDEA funds? Personnel? Who will be left to review grant activities? Is there guidance regarding allowable activities in the newly allocated funds?
rvaughn
38:19
If IDEA funds are being added to grants, are those being added to 19-20 funds or 20-21? Will we be notified, or will additional monies just "appear"? Is there a percentage we can expect?
Bruce Beasley SAU 7

What are the implications of grading high school students - pass/fail? College Admission specifically.
Caitlin Davis
39:46
Hello Amy, We are still asking districts to do your end of the year reporting for the CCR indicators as normal. Of course we recognize that your students may not have had the opportunity to complete as many indicators that they would have in a "normal year"

The additional grant funds are a separate grant titled remote learning. You will need to get access from I4See Coordinator. There is a memo coming out to explain the grant.

We have a new hire; are fingerprinting services still open and available?
Corinne Cascadden

Any definitive answers for ESY?
Jennifer Pomykato
43:13
Thank you Lisa Moody for those directions - Could the Bureau provide approved IDEA grant language and guidance to ensure quick turnaround? Thx
Jay Badams
43:29
To Bruce’s point, has the DOE considered guidance about grading - particularly for high school students? As we consider some variation of a P/F, parents, students and teachers are highly stressed on both sides of the issue.
Chris Beeso
43:43
Thank you Lisa Moody :)

43:50
Frank, do you sit on the Task Force for opening up NH? It’s hard not to panic about what will be expected of schools to be in shape to re-open in the fall. What tools will we need both to open and to measure viral presence, etc. How will the voice of the educational community be represented?

We certainly support creative ideas for meeting student needs. However, spending IDEA funds in this manner when many districts are not yet receiving the IDEA funds due them because of conflicting Federal language seems inappropriate. Sorry that I am continuing to raise this ongoing issue, however it affects many districts.

Summer Food Service Waivers? We will be ending the year, June 11 and are hoping if needed, to be able to continue feeding the kids. Also, wondering if anything became clear on Fresh Fruit/Veggie problem. We are distributing food to district from HS site, but FFV only allows us to distribute from approved sites. I would think we should be able to give FFV to appropriate children, regardless of where we hand out the food.
Bruce Beasley SAU 7
45:17
Is there any chance that the food service waiver can have some flexibility to it in terms of when it will end? If we are going to offer ESY for some level of recovery, would that qualify as still being in session? Considering that we may not have offered ESY in prior summers.
cheri.f.white
45:56
We have sent a waiver request to USDA and will provide further information on school food service in the very near future.

How is the list of third party providers being developed?

49:37
When can we expect the guidance from DHHS for graduation and end-of-year events you referenced earlier?
Becky Forrestall
52:07
So, for our spec ed students who could be supported by these additional funds, these monies will be available through the 20-21 school year, to support potential additional/compensatory services needed? Or just through the usual Sept 30th 2020 date?
cheri.f.white
52:14
ESY can be considered an educational component for the summer food service program, SSO. If the site is area eligible, the school may enter the SSO once school ends. We are waiting to hear if waivers will be approved so summer meal service can be provided in a similar manner as what is occurring now. The current summer regulations are not conducive to social distancing, therefore we are requesting an extension of the current waivers and flexibilities.
Becky Forrestall
52:31
Most compensatory conversations will not happen soon enough to expend those funds for that purpose by Sept. 30
Deannah R
53:12
Regarding the additional IDEA funds. You said that the calculation was based on population. Due to the change in calculation this year my high schoolers are calculated and monies sent to their receiving Districts even though I am financially responsible and we pay tuition to those high schools. I assume that the additional funds will again go to those Districts?
Cory LeClair
53:17
If the food service waiver is approved by the USDA, will the waiver provide similar opportunities for districts as the first food service waiver--meaning will we be able to offer summer meals to families as a result of the waiver when under normal circumstances we would not be?

Becky, could you send out the private providers document the superintendents received today? I am sure this will be a topic of discussion tomorrow during Bureau’s conference call. Thx

Will those IDEA funds for SpEd kiddos be available to charter schools? Asking because of the law around SpEd and charters/sending districts
Rebecca Fredette
59:42
Jen the list that was sent out is the list of approved providers of special education programs I believe.

01:01:23
Thank you Rebecca. We have also had inquiries about P.A. offering distance tutoring to LEA's We can do that, but unsure if that info is in info in the list of private providers.
Steve Appleby
01:01:28
We will get the fingerprinting doc posted in the Credentialing Knowledge Base as well
Jennifer Pomykato
01:01:45
Becky, is there a separate list of private providers providing district services during remote learning?
Becky Forrestall
01:03:12
Without an extension of the funds through 20-21, I worry we won’t be able to do much honestly. The kids do not need more tech and we are not necessarily able to provide more face to face quite honestly. Extending the funds is critical, in my opinion.

01:04:17
Not the same District as Darrell. But yes, the same issue. I am in Barrington and our high schoolers are counted and monies sent to 3 different high schools/districts.

Q9: For schools with NCAA-approved core courses, how will the Eligibility Center approach those schools that issue Pass/Fail grades in Spring/Summer 2020 due to school closures? A9: For NCAA-approved core courses completed in Spring/Summer 2020 that have been issued a grade of “Pass,” the Eligibility Center will apply the credit earned in these courses toward the corecourse requirement in the student's certification. If the student's core-course GPA would increase by assigning a value of 2.300, this value will be assigned to the Passed courses. However, if the student's core-course GPA would decrease by including the 2.300 value for Passed courses, the student’s core-course GPA will be calculated based only on courses with assigned letter grades from other available terms (credit from these courses will still be applied toward the student's corecourse requirements). Note: This policy will apply to students from all grade levels (e.g., freshmen, sophomores) who successfully complete NCAA-approved Pass/Fail cou

Sorry to come back to this: So if funds for this SPED grant are to be passed through the LEA’s do you mean they will be sent to the sending district or the charter? If they will pass though the sending district, who is then responsible for completing, monitoring etc of the grant application and subsequent funds?
