Sue Sullivan
56:30
We would like to see if there could be some system put together that would allow for employees to receive partial benefits. We have a lot of companies that are essential food distribution businesses and have to stay open. They need the employees but they cannot afford to pay their employees for full time work
Sue Sullivan
56:54
I'm referring to partial unemployment benefits

Staying open for delivery is a mixed message without strict parameters
Rebecca Willson
01:03:36
But isn’t this why everyone should just really be closed? Tere is no way to control everyone / everything. This is why we closed our doors. And unlike the food service industry, we have absolutely no way to make money during this time.

Christian from the TrikeHub. The pedicab driver community is rather unified, and is seeking ways to intersect with other businesses to help stimulate their revenue in order to help stimulate ours. Let us know if folks can think of ways to utilize this force that has social distancing builtin.

Yes, I have so many questions about unemployment…Can anyone clarify some of the conditions the new covid 19 business shutdown where it relates to your employees? I read that- workers must remain in contact with their employees. Does that mean that we can legally ask them to work for us and continue to do their job in some capacity as they are able and if it’s safe for them?

The City is in need of volunteers to assist the medical community in protecting the Homeless in the South End and Newmarket and in making sure there is not a food shortage for this community. I am coordinating this with the Mayors Office of Recovery Services. If anyone wants to reach out to help, I can be emailed at suesullivan@newmarketboston.org
