If we already offer concurrent enrollment both on our campus and going to a nearby community college campus and just want to use this to expand - not necessarily new programming, do we still qualify for this application?

If the grant is a one year term and we wanted to use funding to pay for a teacher to start and finish a masters program, can the program last past the Nov 2020 date?
Collins
16:39
Can the grant money be used for technology (video cameras, expanding streaming capabilities) to expand access to concurrent enrollment across our network? (e.g. Students at one campus watch a live stream filmed at another campus, complete coursework graded by qualified teacher)
jcasey
16:54
Can we help a teacher who has already started their MA program to be qualified to teach concurrent enrollment?

Can the lead partner be either the secondary institution or the IHE?
Ed Chusid
21:55
Can a single IHE be a partner in multiple applications with different school districts for each application? If so, do you want an LOI for each potential partnership?

26:12
Did I hear you correctly in that funds cannot be used to pay for tuition?
Steven Kaleda (CDE Grants Fiscal)
27:28
Hi Guys - to answer Bill questions. The expenditures must be obligated prior to November 30th. The grantee will then have 90 days to close out the grant. The grantee cannot use November's money for less say January 2021 tuition
linda.carroll
28:37
That's two questions.

Who is on the review committee? Are you willing to include volunteers from secondary or post-secondary schools? (non-applicants)
Western Concurrent Enrollment 1
31:12
I think you might’ve answered this but was taking notes! Can LEPs apply with multiple IHEs?
MThompson
31:21
If the University has to initiate the application, and it is for a Teacher's tuition, does that mean that the teacher has to be pursuing their Master's through that actual University?
Josh.See
31:32
What about teachers that have recently completed a Master's. Can we reimburse their tuition with these grant funds?
Timothy Pinnow
31:40
Could an IHE use the money to pay stipends for faculty to teach additional Concurrent sections?
Lisandra Gonzales
31:47
Can funding be used for multiple school districts to hire FTE (which will then be sustained after the grant period) to work with employers and the districts to create dual enrollment opportunities.
Corey Pierce
31:49
Would the IHE then be a subcontract if they have expenses to pay?
rwiscott
31:58

I dont think so
Western Concurrent Enrollment 1
36:31
So you are saying that Concurrent Enrollment is only in the high school? Not on IHE campus? The definition just shared in the Crosswalk document isn’t as clear as you just were. Thank you!

I'm unclear how we can effectively use this grant to help fund a teacher's master's degree if the money has to be used up by November. In other words, it seems like it is useful to pay for the fall semester, but wouldn't be guaranteed for the following spring. Any insights about this. Our best first use would be to fund Teacher's further education.

Can LEPs partner together to apply for one grant with one IHE? For instance if we (Western) offer a new summer training that many schools/teachers would attend, which would cost money, could those schools apply for those funds all in one grant application?
Elizabeth Ellingson Aurora
46:03
a little, still some garbling and feedback from time to time.

I can’t speak for all IHEs, but we have purposely created 3 grad certificates that can be started at any time by high school teachers at CMU.
