yes

@ TimW + All --- the GIMS asks for a marketing & publicity (M&P) report, indeed, do not reinvent the obvious that ComSoc already has for M&P … the ask is for a delta beyond what ComSoc plans for M&P … address conference theme, target groups that align best to the theme, plus what resources (volunteers and who know who) that can help …

Teacher compensation in the US is structured differently than in other countries. Point for discussion how to promote TISP

pre covid era, the Atlanta section had very active participation in K-12 family science nights. aw well we participated in regional science fairs. sometimes with the MOVE truck. The feedback was positive and generated a lot of interest in Science while promoting Ieee. How active are the other regions?

One STEM program for K-12 (grades 6-8) that we have done for 0 years by section is Future City Competition. You my check www.futrecity.org to see if the program interests your chapter/section. IEEE was the initial sponsor of this program 26 years ago.

How do we submit update to the information on http://5gsummit.org/pcjs/?
Zafar TAQVI
02:50:11
We used to have an annual industry dinner- inviting CEO/President/HR personnel where we talked about how our section/chapter can help the industry with tutorials/seminars useful to them- they can cut down their training budget working with IEEE. This also helped with new members.

Many thanks to those who contributed to this weekend's congress. As a new chapter formed in 2019, our chapter leadership doesn't have past experience in their roles or with the section, nor the benefit of past-chair experience. COVID has presented a further challenge in consolidating a initial nucleus of local members that might have been more easily established through in-person events. The information this weekend has been invaluable to understand the processes and resources available, and to generate ideas for chapter vitality.
Tamseel Syed
