I would love to see the old Point University Property at the corner of Ben Hill and Dodson, converted to a land trust.

@cindy I wonder how much of it Fulton Leadership Academy owns since they are there now
Cindy Lou Who

A heavy industrial past has burdened many East Point neighborhoods. How will the City ensure that future development protects all neighborhoods from hazards and turns the old liabilities into new assets? Join PSE next Thursday, Aug. 13 at 3 PM to learn about environmental justice, air pollution exposure, and ways other local governments are creating a more just future for all.https://bit.ly/learnandshare3EJ

Do you believe that housing prices in East Point have been artificially inflated? If you do, please share your thoughts about how this occured
Kristin Jackson
01:44:58
Thanks Heather, that’s a great point. We have so many environmental concerns on a lot of our land.

What are the opportunities (and incentives) for "missing middle housing" development i.e. duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, small-scale apartment buildings with a handful of units, cottage courts, townhouses?
Jonathan DiGioia
01:50:44
The vast majority of East Point's residential land is zoned exclusively for single-family, making it illegal to increase housing unit supply throughout most of the city (say, by building a duplex instead of a single family home, or adding another unit onto an existing home). Do you think addressing the exclusionary single-family zoning is an opportunity to increase housing supply?
Kristin Jackson
01:54:52
East Point Housing Authority is not taking applications and hasn’t in a while
