Love this work! Very inspiring! Can you discuss a bit more about your process/tools of doing the tree rubbings and collages?
Mayi, unless I missed it, please mention how each tree has its own personality.
I would love to see the Tree # 3 collage piece (I think) in detail if possible. The one where the green strip was collaged onto the rubbing of the bark.
Thank you so much, Maria Elena for such an insightful talk and look into your practice! and thank you to ArtTable for keeping us all together and inspired by art, especially in our current surreal times. So grateful! Angelica Semmelbauer
Before the tree series, did your work always focus on Visual arts, conceptual work or leaned toward music
I'm sorry, my mic isn't working.
I have had the extraordinary experience of working with you since I curated your first early sound pieces at the Museum of Contemporary Hispanic Art in 1990. There have been so many other moments to collaborate. Certainly on of the highlights was our Conversation from Ljulbiana to Mills. Thanks for contributing to my life. Julia Herzberg
Is there a toll that working on long duration projects for 10-15 years takes on you? Whats next for you? Is this work still continuing, or are there new projects on the horizon?
Thank you so much for this talk.
Thank you so much. maria Elena is iconic in creating this authentic narrative of beauty , sensuality and complexity. She is Caribbean. She is WOMAN! So proud. Rosie, Miami
can we hear from Julia Herzberg
Can you share the title again?
Thank you Maria Elena, Imogen and to all of you for attending today! Hope to see you soon at more upcoming AT programs! I sadly have to jump off for another call.
Can we have access to the record of the talk?
Wonderful talk - Thank you!
