My best hearing experience was in a church with a great loop but very few. Loop systems work. What can be done to improve

47:43
How useful are apps to adjust sound experience. Are they replaced by more

48:53
We have more and more data centres using large quantity of energy. What is the ecological impact of the ongoing processing of Oticon more information?

I’m not sure I share Oticon’s goal. My goal is to hear ‘Peter’ more clearly against background noise. You’re assuming existing hearing aids achieve this, and that the new frontier is to hear all of life’s complexity. But having tested several recent devices, not one achieves this goal. So for now I don’t want to hear more of life’s complexity – I want a device that really does remove background noise and allows me to listen to ‘Peter’ properly.

I can hear best through my I phone with Bluetooth link better than direct speech. Why is this? I have profound loss at high frequency

53:55
Alison may go on to talk about this, but how will OM work with other tech like laptops (Bluetooth), TVs and phones (mobiles are OK as I use Bluetooth but someone handing me a landline phone to respond to someone can be a nightmare).

54:25
OK!

59:59
OK, this is fine for mobiles, but many working environments have landlines - hearing aids used to have a loop switch that you could switch to and you could hear perfectly on a landline. With the removal of the loop or "T" switch, this is no longer possible, rendering landline calls very difficult.

Does ITTT mean a chap in St Petersburg (chosen randomly) can hack into my phone?

01:06:52
IFTTT sorry.

01:08:34
And by phone, of course I meant my hearing aid. Duh!

01:09:58
For me the key question is ’is Oticon More better than other models at allowing me to hear the person in front of me against all the background noise in say a restaurant?’

01:11:16
I would something better than the Oticon Opn S1R in a restaurant where conversation can get really loud

01:11:41
For how long will Oticon continue to update the firmware on the device and the app.

01:13:18
I would like to hear about CROS devices. I have an NHS CROS device. My problem is in an orchestra hearing my self above the orchestra.

01:14:01
Is the connect clip suitable for conversation between driver and passenger in a car? Previous experience was poor because there was a clash between voice heard directly and voice through the hearing aid.

01:19:13
Thank you Alison, encouraging answers.

01:20:38
Oticon More!

01:22:41
OK, thanks, Alison. I'll check with my audiologist.

01:23:03
Yes, you did, thanks.

01:23:41
Is there anything else other than a Connect Clip that can help for a bluetooth low energy microphone?

01:23:54
Perfect, thanks!

01:24:00
@David Caulton - I use a Jabra headset and cordless phone and it works really well for me.

01:24:40
How can Oticon help with single sided hearing with loudish tinnitus in the failed ear. Thank you. I am currently using a CROS NHS hearing aid.

01:26:37
Thanks Alison, that’s very interesting

01:26:53
Noted, thanks @Peter Skeggs. Headsets exactly my issue. Perfect, I'll look into this. I find headsets on my ears cause feedback, rendering blue tooth pointless.

01:27:13
Impact on Tinnitus?

01:27:24
Thank you!

01:29:26
Can you do Firmware updates through the Oticon app

01:30:02
Am I right in thinking that the only way to clearly hear in noisy restaurant is to use the clip to actually hear a person? Malcolm

01:32:07
Thanks Alison, however what I really was asking is for how long will Oticon continue to update the Oticon More product. I have some very expensive hearing aids that are only 5 years old and the software is no longer updated, so part of the main benefit I was getting from them is no longer working. As I’m sure you can imagine I’m reluctant to shell out on another product that in 5 years becomes obsolete.!

01:36:12
Hi David, Slight correction my headset is a Plantronics and just plugs into the handset super easy and I get no feedback using this - https://www.pmctelecom.co.uk/plantronics-hw251-supraplus-wideband-monaural-office-headset/?gclid=CjwKCAjwn8SLBhAyEiwAHNTJbYEq0zlpI0CDA0ZcPUnD-tbPtrdjxuQzf0I1bCG1DaZexOukDVH5GBoCXGAQAvD_BwE#fo_c=1351&fo_k=b00aee36834fbc67a3647522eb43798d&fo_s=gplauk

01:37:34
Thanks, Peter!

01:37:50
Sorry Alison, It’s an app that is not longer updated and I can not adjust the hearing aids any longer…

01:37:58
Not Oticon but he way..!

01:38:24
Alison, could you maybe say more about headsets and hearing aids? I can't wear earphones due to feedback.

01:40:45
Laptop as phone is fine.

01:41:49
Thank you Alison. Your answer is reassuring that Oticon will continue to support devices for a good period of time.

01:42:07
Thank you, Alison - very interesting & useful!

01:42:07
Thank you so much Alison, an excellent and informative presentation!

01:42:21
Very very good. Thanks you so much, Janet

01:42:21
Thanks Alison

01:42:21
Thank you

01:42:23
Thank you!

01:42:24
Thank you Alison - really interesting
