I recall a significant amount of exposed rock / granite along the I 85 exit at Clairmont. Will you have to blast a lot of rock to build your pool? Is there room for the pool? Park? Green space?

Having a third lane extend to Audubon Drive - a cul de sac — makes zero sense. A third / turn lane to Briarcliff makes good sense. The GDOT plan is not, repeat, not a done deal.

This will bring at least 264 additional cars in and out of this area, which is already congested.

GDOT is likely to take out the granite outcropping to put in the dedicated turn lane and added volume from CHOA

The left turn from Briarcliff to Clairmont toward I-85 is always backed up. New apts will make that near impossible. Talking about to the left of QuikTrip.

This is an excellent proposal and I am very excited for the street scaping, walkability, bike lanes and extra lane on Clairmont.

The traffic will be minimal since the residents in the 264 apartments will turn off immediately into this development off I-85 and the additional lane on Clairmont Road will be a huge benefit for all of us.

The additional traffic from this project is far, far less than what was proposed a couple of years ago (RaceTrac, Wendy’s, Express Lube). I have that traffic study. iI anyone wants a copy, email me at bgvargas@gmail.com

This is an additional 264 cars will be stacked up on the service roads and the adjacent roads, 'trying' to get into their turn lanes..

Definitely concerned about the left hand turn to 85 off of Briarcliff onto Clairmont. But overall love this plan.

Helen - they are adding a lane which will absorb the resident traffic, as well as relieve some of the neighborhood traffic. This is the best possible proposal for this property

Racetrac/Wendy’s was 3,000 additional cars making turns in and out of the property.

The third southbound lane proposed by GDOT on Clairmont extending south to Audubon becomes the left turn lane to eastbound Audubon; there is not a proposed southbound right-turn lane into Audubon in the Concept Plan. That intersection has the most accidents on southbound Clairmont other than at Briarcliff or the I-85 ramps intersections. It is still a concept plan.

Lovely design! I bet your complex will have few families however… If the neighborhood schools are over capacity, will staff planners recommed denial? Will our County Commissioners deny it? OR… how do we get DCSD to build schools to accomodate the growth?

Helen the GDOT is also adding an additional lane on the exit ramp off of I-85 . This is in-addition to the added lane on Clairmont to Audubon and a turnaround traffic circle at the lower level of our Cathedral entrance
