A newcomer is not muted!

37:06
My only question would be: how flexible is it if needs change moving forward? It's a constantly moving target, so will we be able to make changes to allocations?

38:33
Re. Timeline, If the district wanted to BAR funds now, How would it work for salaries, since salaries in 24301 for the rest of the year are only encumbrances, and won't be fully addressed until the final RfR?

38:33
Hi everyone, the memo Louie is referring to was attached to the webinar invitation.

39:22
What if ESSER I funds aren’t yet spent or are encumbered. For example, our ESSER I is encumbered to pay our students’ monthly hotspot devices charges.

39:33
Does this include private school proportionate share funds must be spent down - as they are not included in our ESSER II?

40:02
Why does the ESSER II funds come with a debit?

40:15
@Jvanna -- Equitable services for private schools are not part of ESSER II.

41:46
You are not sharing yet

41:46
don't see your screen

42:13
Could you explain Indirect costs again? Thank you.

42:57
Thank you!

43:06

43:10
Agreed - thanks, Louie!

43:33
spend down of ESSER I before spending ESSER II, is that by each District or does EVERYONE have to spend down ESSER I first before any ESSER II funds?

44:32
If the application changes several months down the road, will you require an amendment to the application?

44:58
Got it, thanks Louie!

45:18
I only see ours

46:21
Carol yes I am asking about unspent funds from equitable services holding up the district

48:47
When are award letters with amounts expected to be received so that we can plan according this year and next?

49:41
Never mind

50:19
if we carryover ESSER I into 2021-2022, do we need to complete a new application.

50:54
So we can use funds for additional teachers (SPED, Interventionist, additional cafeteria workers)? Also, the new parts of our schools have cooling-heating systems that we were able to implement MERV 13 filters. However, the original school does not have those systems so we are going to have to purchase individual air filtration systems for the classrooms. Can we use ESSER 2 to upgrade those systems? Finally, we need to do core upgrades (servers, switches, etc.) so when our secondary come in hybrid we can have students 1:1 with their devices and have the capability to do both virtual and in person.

51:56
Can you use these funds to replace the HVAC sytem in a building that uses swamp coolers that cannot filter the air

53:02
@cparrino the memo says to upload the ESSER allocation page from PED.

53:32
Since we found out that we could use funds for replacing HVAC, we are going to encumber the rest of the ESSER 1 and add it to ESSER 2 to help offset the cost which we will have operational funds for. Is this doable?

53:53
The application link on our webpage is incorrect. Here is the link: https://eui.ped.state.nm.us/sites/ESEAConApp/ESSER/SitePages/Home.aspx

55:11
Can the funding be used to purchase/setup portables in able to increase square footage, therefore allowing for greater social distancing

55:37
is there a possibility that there is a credit to the SEG for ESSR 2 for the coming year, like last year?

56:59
could this be used on alarm system?

57:16
Going back to security- could it be used for fencing?

58:09
Confirming, please, that ESSER I can be used for outdoor classrooms, as well as ESSER II.

58:49
Very cool idea Kristie

59:16
Sounds like what the district did down south with a mobile nurse/health "flo"

59:29
Louie, can you set up a sharing session on how a variety of districts are thinking of spending these dollars? I’d benefit from hearing what others are thinking.

59:51
I agree

01:00:28
I love the idea of sharing session!

01:01:09
Ditto the sharing session

01:01:20
Could we pay for a Family Assistance Program - like an Employee Assistance Program - but therapy for students and their families?

01:01:35
Could we utilize funds to hiring reading interventionists/specialists?

01:02:34
Will the ESSER I funds be increased based on 40th day numbers, similar to Title I at the end of the year?

01:04:08
We need another couple of suburbans just for the delivery of food back and forth to our students on the reservation and to the county line every day. Our fleet vehicles all have over 100,000 miles on them. Can we purchase additional fleet for the required food deliveries?

01:04:42
Fencing and building improvements are allowed even if the school does not own the building?

01:06:02
Thank you very much!

01:06:10
Does it apply to existing FTE, for those taking on additional responsibilities in line with learning needs during pandemic?

01:06:39
Are Cafeteria staff salaries allowable under ESSER II ?

01:07:46
Louie, Gabe, Carol, et al; Thank you for all you do!

01:08:18
What is the Indirect Cost Rate for 2021-2022? Is it still 4.40?

01:09:42
PED indirect costs rates by LEA are posted here: https://webnew.ped.state.nm.us/bureaus/administrative-services/accounting/

01:13:03
Teach them to fish Louie. Teach.

01:14:54
I thought about the answer regarding existing FTE, and we are not necessarily planning to provide additional compensation.

01:15:07
