What if ESSER I funds aren’t yet spent or are encumbered. For example, our ESSER I is encumbered to pay our students’ monthly hotspot devices charges.

Does this include private school proportionate share funds must be spent down - as they are not included in our ESSER II?

Why does the ESSER II funds come with a debit?

So we can use funds for additional teachers (SPED, Interventionist, additional cafeteria workers)? Also, the new parts of our schools have cooling-heating systems that we were able to implement MERV 13 filters. However, the original school does not have those systems so we are going to have to purchase individual air filtration systems for the classrooms. Can we use ESSER 2 to upgrade those systems? Finally, we need to do core upgrades (servers, switches, etc.) so when our secondary come in hybrid we can have students 1:1 with their devices and have the capability to do both virtual and in person.

Can you use these funds to replace the HVAC sytem in a building that uses swamp coolers that cannot filter the air

@cparrino the memo says to upload the ESSER allocation page from PED.

Since we found out that we could use funds for replacing HVAC, we are going to encumber the rest of the ESSER 1 and add it to ESSER 2 to help offset the cost which we will have operational funds for. Is this doable?

We need another couple of suburbans just for the delivery of food back and forth to our students on the reservation and to the county line every day. Our fleet vehicles all have over 100,000 miles on them. Can we purchase additional fleet for the required food deliveries?
