I may have missed this in Andrea's report, but the state of Louisiana is offering an expedited application for CCAP support for "essential workers". Is their such an expedited effort for these important workers at this time?

Perry, that's correct.
Plus, we could possibly see an increase in families seeking childcare services once things open back up due to their new SES status levels due to layoffs, reduced income.
A potential increase in eligibility may be something to share with legislators, etc.
absolutely! thanks Keith.
Thoughtful analysis, thanks.
Unfortunately, university-based centers do not qualify for CARES Act funding for small business or non-profit. State subsidy continuance helps for some spaces but not all families are qualified yet are not paying fees at this time.
Dolly Parton is also reading books via Imagination Library too for children/families. She is posting updates a lot too to make sure she is spreading her optimism! :-)

I wanted to share a web page that we have created for families and educators to help support families and educators right now. We've tried to weed through all of the amazing resources that are out there and have picked what we think the best of the best (we've included the Save the Children and KET information). Please feel free to share: https://partnersforappalachianfamilies.org/
Becca, thanks for sharing this!
Thank you for sharing , Amber!
I meant the kids on the video as a benefit. She said "that looks like a lot of important people".
United Way of the Bluegrass has partnered with Bluegrass Community Foundation to create a Coronavirus Relief Fund to provide essential monetary relief for organizations in Central Kentucky. The initial focus over the previous three weeks has been food distribution. Currently the fund has reached $430,000 in pledged dollars about half of which have been distributed. Also proceeds from the sales of the "Team Kentucky" t-shirt via Kentucky for Kentucky will go to the fund (kyforky.com) We are reaching out to partners and stakeholders to assess how to best utilize available funds on a week to week basis. You can learn more at the UWBG and BGCF websites.
I may have missed it, but does anyone know about status of Early Childhood Institute in early June? I have a gut feeling, but wanted to be sure, as we were planning to connect some training to that event to support early childhood educators.
Keith--it has been cancelled
Forgot to mention the R4K Alliance has created a page with resources with families who are at home - http://www.readyforkalliance.com/
Feel free to share! All resources are online and most are free
I’m sorry but I have another virtual meeting at 3 p.m. so I will have to step off soon. Thank you, Helen, and colleagues. Today’s meeting was inspiring. Be safe and well, everyone!
I've got a meeting at 3pm as well. Thank you so much for this. It is so good to hear what everyone is doing, and I'm so grateful that KY has so many folks doing such meaningful work.
