What do you want the other person to do? Behavior based- they could physically go out and demonstrate their understanding of what they want. What do I want to know. What do I want you to know.

It is really difficult to navigate when the person we have the "road block" with is either dealing with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. We might know what they want, and they might not even know what they want. I guess the focus should be on ourselves separating facts/stories and then recognizing feelings and wants that we can actually control.
