It was interesting to hear what Kim said about housing - we are about to made exactly these points to the Scottish Government and Parliament - how we have approached housing need (and social care places) during COVID-19 come down to choices about resources and what the government chooses to prioritise. We argue that resource choices based on our international HR commitments provides a clear path forward - given this approach is not the way most governments think/work/understand - how do we encourage governments to take a HRBA to economic recovery?

And may be also some publicity from the ETUC side, we have prepared a series of so-called ETUC Covid-19 Briefing Watch on different issues (short time work, different groups of workers (seasonal, posted, gig workers) including of course HR in general and TUrights in particular where numerous references are also to the relevant UN/CoE instruments. https://www.etuc.org/en/publication/covid-19-watch-etuc-briefing-notes

Totally agree! NHRI and other HR actors, as well as social actors are being left out from the discussion.

Equality law originated from employment law and equality bodies very much deal with social rights on a daily basis. The bulk of our work is in employment and then in social protection. Some insittutions have legally binding decisions and sanctioning powers.
