I was under the impression that we weren't supposed to be mapping to the Blueprint of our Technical Assessment yet it is included here on the list.

37:32
THANKS!!!
Lisa DiGaudio
37:37
it has a google docs kind of format so teachers can share plans and make recs for Sped/ELL accommodations. Easy to review and revise too
Kerri Sheehy
38:08
Does the state have a digital format and an exemplar?
Kathryn Jensen
38:36
Is there a state exemplar for crosswalks?
Tracy Gyoerkoe
38:52
Not currently.
Tracy Gyoerkoe
40:09
If there is a need, Dick and I will work on creating / facilitating more PD on curriculum developing and mapping.
Tracy Gyoerkoe
40:50
What are suggestions to make sure curriculum maps benefit you rather than become busy work?
Melissa Minorczyk
41:11
Making the assignments project based so they are more engaging for the students.
Catherine Freda
41:25
Use it as a guide to schedule your teaching and to make sure you stay on track.
Lori Sheinberg
41:38
Relevant
Rebecca Canning
41:43
Update them regularly when changes occur
Renay Meissner
42:11
Is there a way to show us what the curriculum mapping programs look like?
Leigh Ziemczonek
42:48
update them as needed but especially at the end of every school year
Rebecca Canning
42:50
Preach!
Joseph McNamara
43:05
I use Atlas to help keep my topics on track. Not spending too much time on a particular unit.

43:37
Erie 1 uses Atlas as digital format for maps where academics is included in each program map
catlyn Tarantino
43:53
Make changes or updates when need too. Specially at the end of the school year and when you find that certain topics aren’t important.
Leigh Ziemczonek
44:06
yes Atlas is pretty user friendly
Dave Arntsen
44:36
This is the link to the rubric on academic integration https://nyctecenter.org/images/AI_Exectuive_Study_.pdf
Kathryn Jensen
44:56
Just need to figure out how to have Atlas generate a usable crosswalk without having to spend hours formatting it.
Catherine Burns
45:02
CTE teachers need PD time to update their program maps twice per year
Lori Sheinberg
45:18
Agree.
Catherine Burns
45:35
I agree on the crosswalk generation from Atlas
Tracy Gyoerkoe
46:30
Great tip, Dave. The more transparent, the more effective.
Tracy Gyoerkoe
46:59
Ann, we would love some good samples. tracy@spnet.us
Catherine Burns
47:07
Ann- that is what we have done at Erie 1
Elise Macur
47:11
Would love a way to collaborate with other trade teachers locally on curriculum. I work in Culinary, I would love to work with other BOCES locally (on zoom even) and go over some curriculum. We find bouncing ideas off eachother is the most beneficial.
Brian Frantz
47:36
You can pay Atlas to take your existing maps into their system
Candace S
48:07
Thank-you.
Allison Howard
48:14
Thank you
Lori Sheinberg
48:58
It is so nice to hear that you have a team to collaborate with.
Tracy Gyoerkoe
50:01
ATLAS actually does archive each year.
Kathryn Jensen
50:25
Our Atlas archives every year so we can work from where we were.
Joseph DeCicco
50:37
Can you get the archive back?
Ann LoBosco
50:39
I like to download them from Atlas, so that I can compare and I have a way of looking to make sure nothing gets deleted by accident.
Kathryn Jensen
51:04
You can look at the archived materials. It kind of starts you for the new year where you were at the end of last year.
Tracy Gyoerkoe
51:23
What are effective practices for collaboration of CTE teachers and academic teachers?
Catherine Burns
52:07
commencement level is ?
Joseph McNamara
53:13
Our academic teachers meet with us and find existing academics in our curriculum and then work together to create new projects to integrate specifically in each program
Ann LoBosco
53:15
I wish I had more time to sit with each of the teachers I work with. In the meantime, it is text messages, or emails. Otherwise, the trade teachers give me their week to week lesson topics and I try to work with that based on our ELA standards.
Kerri Sheehy
55:33
Can you put that link up again?
Lori Sheinberg
55:39
Agree

55:48

Melissa Lennon
56:04

Candace S
57:04
Agreed- NGSS..... very difficult. Not the perfect fit
Amy Smith
57:23
I agree NGSS is tough to make fit.
Candace S
57:38
We will see how long they stick around.
Cynthia McKay
57:41
I sit down with my colleagues at least twice a month sometimes more during our prep time. This way we can discuss what lessons/units are going to be taught .
Judith Porcari
58:40
Is there any repository of curriculum maps that those writing new maps can use as a reference?

Cynthia McKay
01:04:13
I am the English Consultant teacher for Sullivan BOCES, and teach my own lessons as well as consult with other other ELA assignments.
Stephen Thorndike
01:05:20
I'm just curious why CTE courses are held to 108 hours of NYS approved (NYSSLS) commencement level standards to get a credit of science that counts as a science elective. If I were teaching a science elective at a non CTE NYS public school I would need 108 hours or science content that does not have to align to NYSSLS at all and can be standards that are specific to the elective (astronomy, natural disasters, etc...)
Brian Frantz
01:06:13

Kathryn Jensen
01:06:58
Also Forensics, Anatomy & Physiology, etc.
Candace S
01:07:30

Tracy Gyoerkoe
01:08:41
Co-teaching: so effective in many ways.
Kerri Sheehy
01:09:38
How many consultant teachers do you have?
Zsuzsanna Kozmane-fejes
01:11:57
We have about 600 students. We have 1 English and 1 math consultant
Zsuzsanna Kozmane-fejes
01:12:10
and 1 Spec ed
Rebecca Canning
01:12:43
Wow! I did not know that's how some of the other programs are run.
Kerri Sheehy
01:12:53
So Suzsanna I am assuming you don't have a push-in model.
Amy Smith
01:13:19
1 special education teacher for 600 students?!
Zsuzsanna Kozmane-fejes
01:14:07
We do co teaching
Candace S
01:14:08
We have 2 academic teachers per department in Nassau BOCES. We have about 500-600 students assigned to us via the CTE programs. We are on a block schedule. Depending on the academic subject... we push into their class. For science we do science labs in the lab and push-in for some classes. We are on a flexible schedule
Candace S
01:14:33
We need more academic teachers, in my opinion.
