@Kelly Fairchild, in SD we are literally doing what Clint is saying about third party stories during our up front contract stage. Once we are in the door with the initial inquiry we look at that as a window of "need" vs opportunity.

we record our prospect calls and including voicemails left.
we are doing a lot of "team" calls … critique, bail each other out, etc. :)
people will find the money for the "right" idea … time to pivot and get creative!
