https://hackmd.io/@flashbots/quantifying-REV article by Alejo on the topic he mentioned
Feel free to send your questions here :)
Have you been able to see if there were bots that powered down after more hashpower started to mine flashbocks? =D
I still don't understand where the gas comes from? Do we pay the reward, not the gas, or am I missing the point?)
gas in this context is miner bribe/gas used, effective gas price
Harith - not yet! We’re planning on doing so soon, and saw your tweet on the topic :)
Dashboards looking banging
The average reward per bundle looks like a dope metric to onboard even more miners ]
(Robert, I believe the actual number is actually >58%, we may have a few newly onboarded pools not added to the pie chart table.)
Hector - why yes it is
Can you go into more detail about how you compute opportunity cost?
How is the effective price of gas calculated? What should be the benchmark?
Are you able to tell which miners are most efficient at mining flashblocks? As in are there miners that are better at detecting which bundles are most profitable
Dan check out alejo's blog post on Quantifying Realized Extractable Value
Dan - we look at tail_gas_price * gas_used_by_flashbots bundle as the opportunity cost
Aleksey - effective price of gas means here that we convert the ‘miner tip’ to an equivalent gas price
Would love to play with it! Beautiful dashboard guys 😁
Harith - we’re able to see which miner has the higher average profit per block, it’s more luck than being able to choose the best bundles though
The alien is moving
THE ALIEN IS MOVING
Relayability is up
Theoretically they would be able to detect it right? Since the data isn’t currently private?
Hmm so the logic of MEV-Geth selects the most profitable bundle submitted per block
It was YoloChain hahaha

Bundle merging proposal:https://hackmd.io/@flashbots/core-v2-proposal#Bundle-merging
Shouldn’t the equation just be miner payment - opportunity cost? That is, the miner simply compares the blocks made by standard geth and mev geth in terms of profitability

(some strong opinions already!)
Ty for the presentation! Work meetings pulling me away, have a good one!
See you Patrick, thanks for joining!
Have to hop on another community call that I am hosting, big fan of all that you folks are doing and appreciate all your work. Keep it up!
Appreciate your support!!
Thank you for joining Yaz :)!
Great call, unfortunately got to go, thanks everyone!
great call, thx
Thanks for joining Tomasz and Don
Shane - DMing you on Twitter :)
Where I can find relay endpoints?
