Sounds good.

How does this compare to other LF Edge projects like Secure Device Onboarding, EVE, Open horizon?
Marc Meunier
05:20:13
This is a foundational piece that has value across all of these projects. We have not seen anything out that that competes with Parsec. It’s really about simplifying when you have a need to support various RoT and don’t want to implement specific interfaces for each one.

For resource constraint IoT environment, how about WASM/WASI or lightweight Uni-kernels based workload types as yet another runtime as part of Kubernetes orchestration as opposed Linux based containerization (Docker etc.)?
Steven Wong
05:41:58
A: right now management of workloads hosted on something other than standard Kubernetes worker cluster is NOT part of a standard Kubernetes distribution. However since the K8s control plane is extensible, noting stops anyone from implementing a plugin, in the form of custom resource definitions, from hosting workloads on unikernel. I have not come across anybody targeting unikernel myself but it is likely out there somewhere. I have heard of efforts on the WASM WSI front like this one https://cloudblogs.microsoft.com/opensource/2020/04/07/announcing-krustlet-kubernetes-rust-kubelet-webassembly-wasm/

There is IoT Area in Akraino, thoughts how to integrate the output from CNCF K8s IoT Edge WG?
Aaron Williams- LF Edge
05:46:17
This working group is of great interest to basically all of the other projects are working on the constrained device edge
Steven Wong
06:00:06
regarding Tina's comment "There is IoT Area in Akraino, thoughts how to integrate the output from CNCF K8s IoT Edge WG?"The Kubernetes IoT Edge Working Group is not producing code or variations of Kubernetes - but it has had a history of hosting discussions that lead to sidebar open source projects, so I think the touch point with Akraino is not so much exchange of code packages but fostering discussions of best practices, roadmaps and keeping each other informed of what is happening in the user and project spaces.Akraino project people are alwasyy welcome to present on topics related to Kubernetes at WG meetings and Kubernetes conferences
