10:03

10:53
Elta, I'm unable to replicate the sound issue. Please check your system's settings to make sure you don't have your sound low or on mute.

10:54
Still cannot hear you

11:37
Also, you may need to do an "Allow" on your Zoom settings to join the computer audio. Sometimes the fastest way to do that is to drop off and re-join the meeting.

31:56
Are these photo numbers somewhere besides the application?

32:13
Photo size details I meant

36:51
Hi Leah, to clarify you are asking specifically about size limitations to the application that can be uploaded on Submittable

37:02
Correct?

38:48
Submittable has a file upload of 400mb per upload and 800 mb for complete submission. A standard high resolution 300 DPI image is about 8.6mb for context

39:15
So its highly unlikely you will exceed that but its something to keep in mind.

40:45
Videos do take larger sizes but for solo exhibitions we allow for 25 images/videos and I’ve had people submit with mostly video. It’s slow to upload but usually isn’t a size issue.

42:09
Can you give examples of public interaction? Is that like having open studio hours? Or more like doing workshops?

45:08
Rashad, public interaction looks different for different artists and what their media allows. Doing workshops is a good example, but engagement takes many forms. The building is open to the public and visitors are encouraged to interact with artists in their studios. This is meant to get an idea of how this dynamic would fit into your practice, based on how you've engaged the public in your past experiences.

46:34
Gotcha gotcha , thanks Alyssa!

47:02
I recommend if you are concerned about size, to try uploading in advance to allow yourself time to troubleshoot or reach out with questions. Most cameras will default to 72 DPI which is fine for a virtual application but best practice is to set your camera at 300 DPI which will need to be done in the camera settings. In the application resources we have offered several options for best practice of taking pictures of your work

48:02
300 DPI is the minimum requirement for print images which is why that is set as the standard there.

48:27
how many participants on the call? interesting to understand poll. thank you

48:35
If applying as a group does just one artist set up an account?

49:00
You will have the option to add collaborators

49:10
Brett's about to answer your question in a few moments.

49:32
There are 28 participants

01:04:48
Should a brief artist bio be included in the Resume?

01:05:04
What sizes in square feet do the studios range?

01:05:31
If we apply as a group and one person doesn’t score high enough, do the other two qualify for pro temp?

01:07:30
Studios open for consideration: https://torpedofactory.org/2022studios/

01:12:24
What if art has a signature? It is readable.

01:13:43
Are 300 DPI scans of images acceptable or should they be photos of physical artwork?

01:13:51
Would you repeat the unit of measure of the 300 dpi is roughly equivalent to the 8.6 or 8.7 (what was this unit of measure)? Thank you.

01:14:15
Megabytes

01:14:30
Thank you.

01:15:07
Thank you

01:15:16
Andrea, however you capture the image, photography or scanning is fine. Different artists like different methods.

01:15:20
Andrea, scans should be fine, you just want to make sure they are good quality.

01:15:32
Thanks @Alyssa and @Leslie!

01:19:19
