Go Laurie Go!!!! Shut the phone off at 10 p.m.!
Love the idea of check in at 10 and 4 - 10/4 everything is ok. Way cool.
We're doing virtual coffee breaks to mimic the conversations you might typically have walking to get a coffee at the office. Its been a great break! and way to stay connected
Hard to "shut down" at a certain time when you're juggling kids at home! Some of my only uninterrupted working time is after I get kids to bed.
At lunchtime everyday, I feed the kids then we go somewhere outside for fresh air and a bit of movement. On cold rainy days, we go for a drive to a beautiful place like Ocean Drive in Newport!
@Jill Marinelli- love that idea. I've been meeting up with neighbors and walking pre and post work. 6 feet apart of course!
My new mantra is " what is the opportunity here" when I am feeling overwhelmed and fear is near. It really works and I'm learning so much about my relationship with fear and how creative I can really be. Stay positively curious!
Sue...I'm doing the same! 6 a.m. walks and 5 p.m. walks too! Definitely helps to clear the head...and not to mention, there is nothing better than a therapy walk!
Yes Katie, I love your reminder of having compassion for ourselves!!!
I have an almost 15 month old, and a movie babysat him this morning so I could shower . . . I’m trying to get us both into a routine, but I haven’t really had a good one in ages. Do you have suggestions for a simple way to start a routine?
Such great advice - thank you, Katie and Laurie!
I've found showering at night helps me sleep and as an allergy suffer it allows me to wash away the day! Perhaps try that:)
Love little rewards for yourself!!!
Thank you Katie and Laurie - This was incredibly helpful. I have to sign off early but look forward to a potential series on self care.
I love the Calm app!
I love Sweatcoin...you earn cashfor walking/running to turn in for prizes later...I've had it for a year!
I love the inscape app — a bunch of meditations and guided experiences are free
Headspace is a fun one especially if you love British accents :)
Thank you for a great session. I have to log off to prepare for my 5pm walk with the neighbors
rickhanson.net (Dr. Rick Hanson, Ph.D) has a great video resource that we used with employees on Resilience During a Time of Fear - along with a meditation
Getting back to the basics is important and this webinar is so helpful. The topic of self-care is something that our employees, myself included needs! Thank you for these reminders -
Sleep...it is an area that I have always struggled with! I do shut my cell phone down...but it is still in my room at night.
Thank you this was a very interesting webinar
Thank you Laurie and Katie so very much. May you stay calm and well, always!
