Cat, leguminous plants don't *share* the N that they fix with nearby plants, do they?
Sonia, 350Vermont
55:17
@Stuart, I added your question to the Questions doc if Cat doesn’t address it now

Do you ever cut your lawn or just let it grow all season?
Rob Kurth
55:47
Eventually, yes, Stuart. There will be other microorganisms that “steal” it, too. So it cycles, as she said.
Julie

Cat, can you please speak about how to best deal with large deciduous leaves - oak in this case - in relation to yards, increasing SOM on the grass, in the flower garden, in the veggie garden, etc..

Last year we grew onions with red clover and mulch about 5 : to either side. It was the same field we have used for years. Onion crop was poor. What might have bee wrong, it looked like the onions weren't getting nutrients.

Sonia, 350Vermont

Moles have made pathways in most of our beds , increasing over the past few years. Then (we assume) that mice or voles are eating our root crops. Solutions?
Melody
01:50:21
Should we try to get away from tidy weed free paths between raised beds? With a bad back weeding isn't ideal, I was planning to do a cardboard path with wood shavings in between raised beds. Or what would you recommend? We don't till the raised beds.
